Would appreciate honest advice/feedback (new channel)

Hi,

We have a new channel, very much in the early stages. We are finding our style and learning new skills. I really enjoy the creative side of this so far, but definitely need to speed things up with my editing!

We just shoot on an old iPhone for now and use filmora for editing, canva for thumbnails (I'm terrible at them).

The plan is to do cinematic style travel vlogs, but provide some use to people. This will be complimented by accommodation tours/info, travel guides and some videos relating more to budget.

We are both older millennials, I've had some horrible health problems prompting a desire to travel while I can. Instead of waiting for retirement, we are working hard to save now and in 2028 we will be taking a grown up gap year, whatever that means - not sure we are that grown up. We will have lots of content then, but we have time now to learn, to try and build an audience and really develop the channel.

I've uploaded three videos to our channel from a recent trip to Scotland. One travel guide, one accommodation tour and one short video on a point of interest to visit. I'd really appreciate honest feedback or advice, even if it's just general and not really specific to our content.

It would be really helpful for advice on packaging (thumbnails + title) as I'm trying different styles for now, but I would honestly prefer just nice clean cinematic style thumbnails (but realise they aren't often the most grabbing).

Next really is the videos themselves, hook, pacing etc. constructive advice would be great!

Happy to return the favour for folks too, though I'm not really best placed to advise anyone! But happy to give general feedback as a viewer!

Channel is https://youtube.com/@loftsonlife?si=0GCTXLPW6C4jo1mg

Thanks all! ☺️
