People sitting in your seat

Anyone else finding it more and more common to find someone in your seat? I typically show up right as Nicole Kidman graces the screen, and it’s always so awkward ..I will admit the seat numbers are difficult to see at the theater near me, but curious if anyone else has been dealing with this, especially with these sold out hits recently.

Nature is healing: phone users shunned all movie long

After seeing multiple people doom scrolling on their phones all thru the entire runtime of backrooms (aprox 90% of the theatre was doing it) and, shockingly, The Odyssey in the coveted IMAX Film projection, I saw Spider-Man. And any time someone took out their phone to text, FaceTime, doom scroll or film the screen, heroic voices from the back row would yell at them to stop. Not just one person, many many different people. And by the halfway point of the movie, not one person was doing their taxes / playing video games / social media influencing / playing candy crush on their phones. After a few people were shamed loudly in the first hour or so, not a single phone was used. Incredible.

AMC Citywalk ticket email didn’t come with parking lot barcode (?)

It usually comes with the email confirming the ticket purchase but this time, the barcode is missing. I have 3 Citywalk movies coming up in the month of July, 2 of them are missing the parking lot barcode. Has anyone delt with this?

I was accidentally on the set of the movie + a theory

I walked outside of my apartment one day and a bunch of folks screamed at me to duck behind a bush as they were rolling for a movie. I did and instantly a convertible full of girls pulls out in front of John Marshal High School. As a thanks, they offered to let me hang out with them and have some craft services. I declined but was happy to help.

2 years later I realize it was this movie.

Anyways, my theory of this movie is that it’s the Los Angeles version of AFTER HOURS, where the primary goal is to be as wild and unexpected as humanly possible. The additional symbolism of owl demons and a seemingly Luciferian sort of music-master do hold enough connective tissue to have me search for more meaning behind this.

Whatever it is, I regret not hanging out with them and having some free snacks.

Anyone else have this issue? I commented on someone else posting that they were kicked out of the original AMC A-LIST group. I like that this place is the refuge for reasonable people with A-LIST related conversation but also, I think it’s time we all tweeted at AMC on twitter (their preferred customer service method) to let them know that they are being misrepresented by weird power hungry psychos. Thoughts?
