Higher action is best

I love this guitar sooooooo much. I usually use higher action on my guitars, but when I bought it a few weeks ago, it came with the strings relatively low. I gave it a shot, I was loving the guitar, taking some time to adapt to the low action. Today, I decided to higher the action and lower the pickups. What a dramatic change! So much more comfortable, it feels like home, a totally different guitar, but in good way. And the sound improved too, I now get the clarity that was hidden, the single coil type of sound. Before there was not a very clear difference between neck and neck+middle pickup sound. Now the difference is absolutely dramatic. I know Ibanez guitars are known for being able to get really low action, really thin necks, and people are very used to low action. Probably you too. Have you tried higher the action? I say give it shot for a week or two, it is a game changer. Who else prefer higher action? Are you low or high action team? Ibanez for life🤘

Relic on poly guitar?

What do you think guys? There’s a guy nearby selling a Professional II Fender Strat with heavy relic. But I’m pretty sure the relic was made on the original poliuretane finish. He’s selling it for like 2.500 USD. Deal or no deal?

Tips for Paul Gilbert signing my guitar

Hey guys, I atending a WROC show in about a month from now. I’m considering buying the VIP upgrade ticket, which uncludes a 2-hour experience, soundcheck and signing stuff/photos with Paul. First, it is completely separate from the main event production/staff, sold by a completely different platform. It is being sold on Eventbride, is that legit? I don’t want to buy a ticket for this, arrive to the theatre doors and found out there’s no such thing as meet and greet stuff. Would be very sad, and not being able to talk to someone.

If the thing is real, I would like to receive some tips, do they let me bring my guitar? What’s the best place to sign the guitar? I’m thinking the back of the headstock so is less likely to get wear. What kind of sharpie and color should I use? This is the guitar, is a red PGM FIREMAN 100

Have you ever seen Paul Gilbert with a non Ibanez guitar?

It makes me curious, how loyal to Ibanez Paul Gilbert is. Every single guitar he plays in any video is Ibanez. And I’m no talking about his signature PGM guitars, I’m talking about the other guitars he plays, the Strat, the SG, Les paul any kind of guitar is from Ibanez (previous to the lawsuit thing).

What do you think of AZ

Hey guys! What do you think of AZ guitars in general? I know they are phenomenal guitars, I think they are the best looking S-style guitars out there. I was in love with these, specially HSS ones. BUT, once I tested one for several days, I learned they are not for me sadly. There’s something about the body, it is too small, too thin, and it felt just too uncomfortable for me. I couldn’t get used to it. My main guitar is an Ibanez Fireman, which is enormuos and I’m very used to it, maybe that made me dislike the AZ body.

Ibanez FRM100

Hello guys, I’m just sharing one of me favourite guitars.
It is a very different and unique guitar: Ibanez Fireman FRM100 (Paul Gilbert). It is so big, I had to buy a special case, for basses I think. And because of its size, they couldn’t ship it to me overseas (from USA to Chile, southamerica). At least that was what they told me. It was a nightmare but finally managed to bringing it home (this was back in 2018). Biggest and widest neck I have ever played, but once I got used to it, it was a dream. Incredibly comfortable, extremely light weight specially for its size, and super well balanced. It has Dimarzio PUs (Injectors for neck and bridge and Area67 in the middle). They sound straty, but powerful, I love the sounds and versatility, very wide dynamic range. This is by far, my weirdest (in a cool way) and favourite guitar.
