Why's this COD MP so over hyped? feels like a battlefield-lite to me
Just for context, I only played the campaign of this game when it launched and it was amazing.
However, I see people missing this COD so much, movement etc. So, I tried checking all the modes out.
Map flow - I noticed that we no longer control lanes, but move in squads and take POIs. I can see why this could be divisive but don't mind it. Wish we had more recon gadgets to counter camping though.
Game modes - Gun fight is the only game mode that stood out to me, every other mode from TDM to Domination feels like a worse version of what we have in MW3
Movement - It feels much faster than what the design intention seem to depict. If I'm locking down buildings then someone bunny hopping, slide canceling me defeats the point.
Ground war - Once again worse version of Battlefield, without cool class gadgets or vehicle play. I can see why it could be cool back then, but we do have a decent battlefield to scratch that itch.
Overall, I'm just curious why people miss this COD so much compared to MW2 or MW3.
MW2 has more tactical gameplay and slower movement which suits this design vision.
MW3/BO7 has cracked movement and lane based game flow for old heads.
Who is the target demographic for MW19 gameplay? Warzone players?
