i made an album about a relationship falling apart

hey, i'm tenshisdead. i'm an independent artist from texas and i've been making music for a few years now. i make a mix of alternative r&b, indie, alt rock, and honestly whatever sounds good to me.

i recently put out my album Blue Hour, which i spent about 6 months working on. the whole album is basically the story of a relationship from the beginning to the end, and everything that happens in between.

i wrote, recorded, produced and mixed everything myself. i wanted every song to feel like it was part of the same story, while still having its own sound.

there's some darker r&b, indie, alt rock, acoustic stuff, etc. throughout it.

i put a lot into this album, so i'd really appreciate it if anyone gave it a listen. you don't have to like it either, i'm genuinely down to hear what you think about it. favorite song, least favorite song, whatever stood out to you.

i don't think the new leak is meant to be dangerous era

(THIS IS JUST MY OPINION)

  • the heavy eye makeup and nose contouring imo is VERY reminiscent of the HIStory tour (first photo is a photo from the HIStory tour) and it's way more prominent. especially the white eyeliner under the eyelids, which i don't really remember being there during the Dangerous tour. (1st photo is the leak from this week)
  • his skin is waaaay too pale for it to be Dangerous era imo. (the last photo; the second row is Dangerous era and the top row is Jaafar's makeup test)
  • in the Dangerous era, you can see his eyeliner isn't as prominent. it's actually a lot lighter and thinner compared to what's in the new leak (slide 3)
  • the brows in Jaafar's picture (1st photo) also look way more similar to HIStory era makeup (second photo)
  • even the early makeup tests we saw in the first teaser (slide 4) looked way more like the Dangerous era / late Bad era, especially compared to this new test with the white eyeliner underneath
  • and in the photos that leaked back in July (last slide), you can see that even then there was no white eyeliner and the eyeliner itself was way thinner

now i've seen the full image of the Jaafar leak somewhere and i know this was makeup for I BELIEVE the Black or White music video (even then the eyeliner was thinner), so i'm not saying this automatically means it's HIStory era or anything. and i know there were points in time where MJ would wear heavy eye makeup throughout the Dangerous era

but i find it really interesting how much this makeup test looks like the HIStory tour makeup, especially when you compare the eyeliner + brows to the actual Dangerous era

what do you guys think?

fixed that one REALLY important scene in the movie for good

i did this cus i was bored and bc the first one i did wasn't pleasing to me anymore but here's some fixed things:

  • i made the audio to where it doesn't start over
  • i sped up jaafars spinning to match the original in the slightest
  • i made his toe stand more shorter (a lot of people asked)
  • everyone was saying how purple the video was (it was the tint) so i fixed it to match the og coloring

fixed that one REALLY important scene in the movie

**EDIT:

a lot of you are upset with the way i worded the description, now while the cussing wasn't neccessary i'll admit, it comes out of frustration due to the fact that 1. we ARE the crowd. we don't need to see paid actors doing a fake "first time" reaction. not to mention, 2. it's a very important moment in MJ's career. people want to focus in on Jaafar, not the audience. and because the performance in the movie was heavily edited/tampered with, there wasn't a need to have 2-3 crowd scenes for one dance move, even if it was to anticipate the move.

i'm not dissing the editors/director of the movie in general, the movie is great and i loved it (seen in 11 times in theater), however this scene was one of the few that made me upset. so it's nothing to do with the WHOLE movie.

just to clear things up

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

since the directors don't know how to not fuck with this part by adding unneccesary crowd scenes (regardless of it was to anticipate shit), shit was NOT needed.

so here

i could've done the audio better but oh well this needed to be done

1 Month since Oliver's passing (a rant)

for some reason, i can't accept the fact that he's actually dead.

i was born and raised in san diego. i had no idea that he was from santa cruz until after he passed, which is another reason why it probably hits so hard.

i remember when i first seen on my Edge browser his passing, i told my friend about it and found the littlest things to make it seem like he's still alive (the delay in any official statement, the tickets being on the site, his website or spotify not saying anything). i was in complete denial.

i first discovered him through someone who sang a cover of "Alien Boy" in 2019 at my camp, which is ironically called Camp Oliver. from then up until "Miss You" was trending in 2023, i was a fan of his music. i don't know what made me stop listening to him but for years i didn't see him on any platforms after 2023. anytime i listen to his music now it brings me back to those times but it's very overwhelming to get through because he should still be here, man.

he was so young, too. 32 years on this earth that was spent and now he's just, gone. it's been a whole month and as time goes on i'm learning to accept it, but his death is one of those that hit harder than a fucking train man.

watching recent clips of him as early as even a few months ago is really eerie to me, especially hearing him talk about recent memes like "lookmaxxing" or just even being funny because he was so entuned into social media and recent trends and now just seeing him talk about it, it's weird.

i try to think of certain things like "if it didn't happen this way, it would've happened at a different time and in the worst way possible." sometimes, i'll even catch myself asking, "what if he didn't board the helicopter?" or "what if he didn't go to brazil at all?" or "what if he was able to work things out with his label (Atlantic Records)?" but i know the Lord i know that he does things for a reason.

in a way, his death also inspired me to continue pursuing the things that i love doing because tomorrow truly isn't promised. for all i know, this could be my last post on reddit ever and drop dead the next day. death is a really scary concept and i hate that it can happen so suddenly, when you least expect it. i just wish he had more time on this earth. i hate that his death was the reason why i got back into him.

as a tribute, i've recorded a cover of "Cowboys Don't Cry", which i'll be releasing sometime today or tomorrow on my tenshisdead YouTube page as a tribute.

oliver, you are so missed.

(before anyone comes at me, i want to make it very clear that i'm very much so aware there were more people involved in this fatal crash. however, i didn't know about who they were until they passed, oliver's death is different for me because i knew of him before he passed.)

Just some thoughts I've been having

not sure if this has been discussed here before, but given everything that's came out about ped4vd and the gruesome manipulative things he did to celeste, imagine if it wasn't her. it makes me think about potential other victims. what if ped4vd actually had other victims that he planned on doing the same thing to them what he did to celeste.

it also makes me think, had he gotten away with murdering celeste and actually had the chance to depose of her body in the incinerator that he bought, would he have moved onto another minor? celeste did threaten to expose him and from what we have on their last argument, it sounded like he may have had more victims.

i'm so utterly disgusted thinking about it, i don't meant to come here and come across any kind of way at all. i 1000000% want justice for celeste, but just imagine how worse he could've been, man.

Hottake: d4vd isn't getting house around and will probably kill himself in jail

*HOUSE ARREST

this is just my honest opinion. after seeing the amount of incriminating evidence and how he's been appearing in court (rumpled, more skinner, not getting sleep, etc) i don't think he'll last. i also think he won't be getting house arrest. i mean these are pretty big charges (capital murder to be exact) and with him facing these charges, it would explain why he wants to release the deluxe to WITHERED so that he and his "fans" (if any left) can enjoy his last work of "art".
