What I need to play

Hello!

I loved CM01/02 back in the day. Smashed the computer room up as (although none of us realised it at the time) an overwhelmed autistic child after my sister snapped my CD in half.

Although, Ultimately Soccer Manager 98 is, and always will be, the greatest of these types of spreadsheet manager games…

How do I go about playing this now? What hardware and software do I need? How do I get the game running - both with original teams and players and with modern ones (as I’m led to believe can happen)?

Can I do this with minimal tech skills and funds?

Thank you for any guidance or direction you can share 🙏

Built first garden wildlife pond! Thoughts? Improvements?

Hello!

I spent last weekend doing what I’ve wanted for ages and I built a wildlife pond in our garden. It’s about 2.5m long and 2m at its widest. It has 30cm ish deep and wide shelves, a 70cm deep by 60cm ish bowl, and 2 beaches (with some small in between shelves too). EPDM liner, underlay, probably only 2cm of sharp sand if I’m honest beneath. UK, northwest, so clay soil in the deep parts. Garden is broadly south facing.

No fish. Hopefully it’ll become a hedgehog, newt, frog, insect, bird haven. We built 2 bug hotels too with hedgehogs homes beneath.

A few oxygenating plants are in but more to be added this weekend (from a healthy established pond). 2 small bog gardens made next to (the soil area with some bog plants in).

I’d welcome your thoughts, evaluation, advice. How can I make it more wildlife friendly and positive in time? I’ve tried to put some pictures of around the pond for context of where in the garden it is.

Thank you!
