Any Passport Bros Here Or People Who Had Better Success After Moving Within or Outside the US?

Just looking to see any success stories or people's experiences with dating after moving - Good or bad, I suppose!

I'm currently in the Midwest (IA/IL border) and it's tough here. I get around, but I'm mostly running into people who aren't marriage minded - even within the church communities, which is slightly... baffling? I'm 40, so I'm ready for a change, I guess...

Thnx.

Anyone Here from South America?

I'm looking at options for relocation outside of the US and it just dawned on me - I love speaking Spanish and have a pretty good grasp on the language already. I should probably pick a place where I enjoy the language, right?

I'm also looking at Vietnam and Thailand, but I do enjoy speaking Spanish...

Anybody here relocated outside the US?

40M... Midwest

  1. Photo or physical description of yourself: Yes, I know this is a photo from behind
  2. Area of work/study: I have my own small business (Will share in DMs). I'm also a very active musician and have my BA in Visual Art.
  3. Hobbies/interests: I'm passionate about the arts and good food! I also find homesteading/ the self-reliance arts really interesting. I'd love it if I were an herbalist, but there are only so many hours in the day...
  4. Details about your faith journey/denomination: I was brought up in the Catholic Church and some in the Orthodox as well, but I've gone away from protocol and procedure and more focused on direct relationship lately. More on that whenever you want. I definitely did have a born again moment that I'd be happy to share with anyone...
  5. What sort of person are you looking for?: A woman who really wants to be a mom and sees herself homeschooling and doing the whole thing. Also, someone who is at least a little skeptical of the medical industry would be a plus. Must be supportive of the arts...
  6. Preferred age range: 25+
  7. Are you open to long distance or relocating?: I actually AM open to distance and am ACTIVELY seeking options for relocation both inside and outside the US. I have traveled quite a bit, and am not super satisfied with the prospect of spending the rest of my life in my current location. So, I'm definitely open location-wise!

Side Note: I'M ALLERGIC TO DOGS AND CATS. Yes, furry creatures. I'm allergic to them and can't live with them. Sorry. We can have a lizard or a goldfish.

Can Someone Help Me Understand Something?

I'm asking from a purely analytical, statistical standpoint. Not trying to start an argument or illicit any emotional response. I've been looking on the internet, and I haven't found an adequate answer - I'm seeing many varying ones and none of them quite make sense to me:

A man can make a brilliant post talking about his assets, what he brings to the table, how devout he'll be, be above average in looks, eloquent etc. etc. etc. and get zero responses. Maybe one or two DMs or something... Meanwhile, a woman can say something like, "26F Connecticut" and her DMs will be flooded... In tandem with this reality, every single dating sub I see is literally 20:1 men to women. Like, girls are just NOT on the internet to the degree men are its seems - That's right, isn't it??

I suppose I just answered my own question there in the last sentence, but anyone who's got insight into what's going on exactly (Perhaps WHY men outnumber women so dramatically on the internet, if that's true?), please chime in.

Again - I'm asking purely from an analytical/ statistical standpoint. Not a woe is me place or complaining about my situation or anything...

Thanks.

Edit: Something else just crossed my mind: Most church services/ singles events I've been to men heavily outweigh the women as well, so... Is men outnumbering women just limited to the internet? One would think the internet would be the equalizing space, but somehow, it's not. None of this makes sense to me when one looks at actual population demographics...

I am in a Denominational No-Mans Land and Nobody Wants to Date Me... 40M

Pretty much what the title says. I just... don't know what to do anymore - The Catholics don't want me, The Orthodox don't want me, the Protestants, gosh, well... there are just so many!

Someone tell me what to do. I'm more on the "Charismatic non-denominational prayerful discerning spiritual gifts" side of things? Was raised in the Catholic and Orthodox Churches, though, so that's why I still search for a spouse within those groups, but yeah, like I said - they don't want me!

I'm just curious. Nothing online/ app based/ website based (or irl for that matter) has panned out for me whatsoever - and it's been well over ten years on the internet. Not gonna feel bad because I've done basically everything I can, but I'm just curious if anybody has chosen to deliberately stop searching on the internet, and... what has manifested so far? How long has it been? Been a few months for me not posting any type of singles add type of content...

Thanks.

Edit: I'm speaking towards getting offline as a strategy, not a "woe is me" thing. Thnx.
