moving away from flat hubs to the vertical spacemate rd1 pro tower setup.

as a quantitative trader, my home office relies on multiple screens running constantly. i am replacing my old laptop hub because my monitors sometimes flicker or drop signal during market hours. the new baseus spacemate rd1 pro 15 in 1 caught my attention specifically because it uses an enterprise grade retimer chip. having that pro level signal stability and anti interference is exactly what i need so my charts never drop. on top of that, the interactive smart screen on the front gives real time status and lets you switch modes, which is way more advanced than the basic power lights on other hubs. i just ordered one, hoping to firmly anchor my cables and get rock solid displays. sharing my thoughts for anyone else upgrading their trading setup this month.

considering the new spacemate rd1 pro but have a few technical questions.

i saw the baseus spacemate rd1 pro 15 in 1 recently launched. the idea of having a magnetic wireless charger on top to charge my phones and a smart display on the front to show what is connected is pretty interesting. i currently use a windows laptop for work, and i always carry two phones to keep my personal life and work tasks separate. my personal phone is an iphone but my work phone is an android. since i have both on my desk all day, i am trying to figure out a few things from the specs before i buy. will the top charging pad work with my android if i use a magnetic case, or is it strictly for magsafe iphones? also, if i run two monitors from the back hdmi ports, is it really 4k at 60hz on both screens? curious if anyone else is looking at this one too.

Switched back to wired headphones for work calls to avoid battery anxiety.

I have back to back meetings all day and my Bluetooth earbuds kept dying right in the middle of conversations. The audio lag was also getting annoying. I picked up the Baseus Spacemate 11 in 1 a while ago for my Windows machine. It has a 3.5mm audio jack right on the front. Now I just leave a pair of wired headphones plugged into the tower. No more worrying about charging my headset between video calls. What are you guys using for audio during long online meetings?

First time trying open ear clips. The XC1 is actually solid for yard work

Never used open ears before cause I figured the bass would be trash. I do yard work on weekends and need to hear if my family calls me. Ordered the Baseus XC1 online to test them out. The audio is way punchier than I thought. The Bose tuning gives it actual bass. The C bridge is soft too so I wore them for hours yesterday pulling weeds and they didn't hurt or fall off.

Want to buy a dock, is this one okay?

I’m sharing an apartment right now, so my desk is pretty small. Most of the stuff I’m using was passed down from my brother, basically his old setup.

Two Dell P2217H monitors Company Dell laptop MelGeek Pixel keyboard Razer Viper V3 Pro mouse

I’m looking at the Baseus 11-in-1 dock for Windows. It’s around $100 on Amazon right now. Would this be enough for my setup? I mainly want to connect both monitors, keyboard, mouse, and maybe Ethernet to one dock so I don’t have cables everywhere.

I’m curious why the MacBook version is so much more expensive...
