First time booking at cruise. I’m not sure what I’m doing exactly.

I’ll be in San Diego in December for an event and figured afterwards I can take a cruise for a first time and enjoy a little vacation.

I never booked one before so I’m looking through Costco Travel at the moment. Is this a good deal? Should I buy now or later? Where else should I look for in cruiser deals. What else should I consider?

Why isn’t renewable energy an America First policy?

Republicans talk about American energy independence and yet it still seems we are way too dependent on other countries for our oil supply.

This is more so evident with strait of Hormuz being closed and Americans paying at the gas pump.

Wouldn’t it make sense to heavily invest in renewable and nuclear energy to make us completely self sufficient on energy production? Then we wouldn’t hurt so much when other countries mess with oil supplies.

Or heavily incentivize EV adoptions so that Americans aren’t paying so much at the gas pump.

What am I missing here?

Call OnStar to get a discount

Someone mentioned that when they called OnStar to cancel their plan the rep offered them a discount.

So I figured what the hell worth a shot and it worked. 10% for less than 5 minutes of work. Seems like a good deal.

Feeling like I have to lean into AI to keep growing my career.

I’m a mid level engineer with close to 5 years of experience.

Ive always received good feedback but last few months I’ve been truly trying to advance my career to get into a senior role.

With that I came into realization I have to lean into AI to do so. I feel like I have to demonstrate I can come up with AI solutions, learn AI and propose how to integrate new AI features into our apps just so that I can keep growing.

Anyone else feels the same?

Rant - High rated EV tires not available in Equinox’s size

I was doing casual research about what tires EV owners recommend and turns out none of the top rated ones are available in Equinox size (245/55R19)

Hankook ION EVO As SUV - nope
Goodyear electric drive 2 - Nope
Bridgestone Turanza EV - Nope
Pirelli P Zero As Plus - Nope

Awesome stuff GM thank you so much for picking such a niche size. I guess I’m stuck with these shitty Michelin Primacy ones.

Bluetooth issues

I have a 2026 model and I’m not sure if others are running into an issue with their Bluetooth connection. Once every couple days my phone would stop connecting to my equinox and I have to redo the entire connection process again from the beginning. It’s becoming quite annoying honestly.

This just started happening recently so maybe a bug in one of the OTA updates?

Steering wheel vibrates during highway speeds. Dealership has been of no help.

Like the title states and as you can see in the video my steering wheel is vibrating during highway speeds. It’s fine on lower speeds.

I did a road force balance and that didn’t help. I’ve been to the dealership twice and they either say they can’t replicate it or it’s the road conditions causing it. I showed them this exact video and offered to drive with the tech.

I crawled under wheel to check suspension and nothing is glaringly wrong. I don’t see any grease or oil on the struts or ball joints. The CV boots don’t look torn and I don’t see grease on them either. The sway bar links are sturdy too.

At this point I’m not sure what wrong. Maybe get a wheel alignment?

Edit: thanks everyone who took the time to answer. I’ll chalk it up to bad roads and tires. I’ll keep driving as is.

Feeling even more frustrated with my dealership

Follow up on my post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/EquinoxEv/s/tjubhKCwJt

Dealer got the tire replaced about few weeks ago. Steering wheel is still vibrating…I took it back. I showed them videos of it vibrating and I even offered to go on a drive with the tech.

Their response? It’s just bad roads lol

Seriously. It’s a brand new car! Should I try a different dealer?

Im like really considering of getting rid of this car to be honest because the service experience leaves such a bad taste in my mouth.

Feeling frustrated with my new ev

The car just about has 3.5k miles however I’m already experiencing steering wheel vibration when on a highway.

I took it to service they didn’t find anything but recommended tire balancing. They wanted to charge me $350 for it. I said no and I went to my local tire shop instead. They found one of the tires to be out of round and wouldn’t balance.

I now have to go back to the dealer to try and get them replacement under warranty. This should not be happening with a brand new car. Let alone Michelin tires.

Overpriced food trucks

Don’t get me wrong I love supporting local businesses but these food trucks charging restaurant prices or even more! Is getting ridiculous.
