Stranded and forced to rebook at triple price after being denied boarding by Flair Airlines (very poor experience)
We were traveling as a group of 6 with Flair Airlines and had a very frustrating experience at the airport.
We arrived at the gate area and were preparing to board when staff told us boarding was closed. They claimed we were 3 minutes late, but we clearly saw the last passenger still boarding when we arrived. Right in front of us, staff instructed another employee to close the door.
One staff member (Anjali) was extremely rude and gave no proper explanation or assistance.
The flight had already been delayed twice, and there were no clear boarding announcements in the waiting area or washrooms, so we had no idea final boarding was happening.
We were then told there was no one available to help us at the airport because staff are “third-party,” and we had to contact customer support.
After waiting over 2 hours, customer support basically said they can’t do anything due to “policy” and offered no solution. We were forced to rebook flights at almost triple the original price just to get to Toronto.
Overall, this has been extremely disappointing. Poor communication, rude staff, lack of support, and no accountability. This isn’t the first time we’ve experienced delays like this with them either (we’ve had a 4-hour delay before without proper communication).
