Buc-ee’s

Anyone leave wawa and work at a Buc-ee’s? Or vise versa?
I’m 6 years in and kinda wanna work there but I wanna see the opinions of others first.

Stupid question

I have 25k in esop. I am fully vested. I would really like this money for a downpayment on a home(not an URGENT need). If I left, received my esop..and came back 💀💀💁🏻‍♀️ could I re-work at wawa ? lol

LOST IN WAWA

Wawa was my first job, still working there and never left. Been there 6 years. I’m a CSS. I’ve learned I like to work. I love doing coldbox, backstock, express, facilities, deli, coffee, all of it (minus register Jesus Christ), I love moving! I’m always getting in 10k+ steps and it makes me feel so accomplished being able to do a bunch of stuff other management wasn’t able to get to. (Most managers are always picking up slack or something, but I GENUINELY get SO MUCH DONE, so much so it confuses me as to how my uppers struggle when IM the one who has to do cycle counts 💀) I love working. I’ve worked at 3 stores and have trained over 30 people by now. I love being able to help my associates when they are behind. I LOVE delegating. I basically enjoy my job A LOT. Butttttt, I want a change.. I don’t wanna work at just wawa. I wanna be somewhere bigger. I don’t really want to be a “boss”. I like supervising and helping and engaging and being the brightest person in the room when people walk in, but I don’t like being in charge. I don’t like being the person who has to handle the big fuck ups, the immediate things like pump leaks or shutting court down, so on and so forth. I want to like..coordinate? I want to be the “bosses second had man” or something. I’m really good at what I do. (Although I’ve always been a grey area gal) I enjoy what I can output in the time allotted to me. Sometimes I wonder if people are even working half as hard as me because they take FOREVVERRR to do the tasks that I just do it myself(I know I suck, like telling my facilities to not worry about coldbox because I know I’ll get it done in half the time and make it look neater on the shelves) only because they need to work on other things and knowing they take too long to do something will take away from other things.

But anyway, I want to make sure things are getting done, help wherever needed, challenging myself to beat time, ensuring accuracy is everywhere. I don’t know if I want a corporate like job, or work on some type of blue collar like career, I’m not interested in a lot, I just like to physically work and output great results in fast time. What do you guys reccommend/what paths did you take when you left?

Compensation

I’m a CSS. Been with Wawa since Covid started. I’m curious to know if there’s a way that I can see the cap pay for each position. Anyone know ?

I love wawa-been doing it for years now. Amazing opportunities and people.

But I want a career change. Idk if I want to stay within wawa .. but I know I enjoy doing it and I’m worried I’ll leave for something I don’t like as much. I just know I’m capable of so much more…I’m a supervisor who just wants to work, constantly getting my work done well, over compensating /picking up slack while helping team, I love the pace, the flow. But I don’t to do something more..I don’t have a degree. But I enjoy being a manager but also prefer to physically just work. Being able to pick if I want to spend time in cold box making it nice or spend time working backstock and making everything back in order. I like the slight freedom but the pace as well, I enjoy being able to quickly output things and get quick results. What should I do?
