[Routine Help] I am super insecure about the skin on my legs and at a loss on what to do.

I am waiting on a referral for a dermatologist, but in the meantime if there is anything I can do that’ll help my skin I would appreciate any help. I have really bad chicken skin and small red bumps on my skin at all times, whether I shave my legs or not. I exfoliate about every other day with a body brush to help with ingrowns (yet I still get them) and smoothing out my skin. I have also tried using lactic acid (the ordinary) diluted with water, which made my skin really itchy. I have also tried using glycolic acid also by the ordinary. I will typically use glycolic acid on the days I don’t exfoliate with my dry brush. Any tips would be appreciated thank you!!!
