Since only a few people have these dolls so far, I thought I’d share how Jasmine stacks up to other dolls I have.

Basically, she’s quite petite! I like the size of the box, it doesn’t feel ridiculous, but I didn’t realize how small she was until I put her next to Barbie, which is indicative of her well balanced design I think.

Her head is pretty close in size to a mirror mi doll’s head, and her height is between Licca and G3 Draculaura

Her skin is both darker and warmer than my Disney store Jasmine’s

I really love this doll! I’m not a completionist but I’d like to get all three plus any they make down the line!

So my friend found the 1996 Gahanian Barbie for me at the thrift store and I looooove her face. I wanted to rebody her to a mtm to go with my other display Barbie’s, but her skin is darker and hard to find a match.

Well! I stumbled across the exact mtm doll I needed at the thrift store for $1

But the sides of her neck were splitting. When I pulled the head off, the neck peg came with it.

I sort of remembered watching a myfroggystuff video where she made a new neck joint with a pipe cleaner and a button. Couldn’t find the video but I just went with it. First I cut part of a paper clip and superglued it into where the neck peg used to be.

Then I yanked a small pipe cleaner around it until both sides were sticking up like a u. This made me more confident in the superglue holding.

Then I strung on a button and somehow got the new head around it. I think she looks great now!

I know this is Barbie blasphemy to some people but I had a cheap mtm body and a cheap repro solo in the spotlight doll.

After shaving her jaw down a bit with an exacto knife, it fits! And she can tilt her head. The color match isn’t perfect because I was using what I had but I don’t think it’s too terrible either.

Tried to research before I did it but didn’t find much so I’m posting now in case someone else wants a vintage Barbie face on a mtm body
