Started trading with a prop firm — will share my progress

I recently decided to give prop trading a serious try and started trading with a prop firm.

I’m going to keep this post as a kind of journal and share how it goes — the good trades, bad trades, mistakes, progress, and hopefully some results along the way.

I’m still at the beginning, so I’m definitely not here pretending I have everything figured out. I just thought it could be interesting to document the process and see where it takes me.

If anyone is interested, I can also share which prop firm I’m currently trading with. Just let me know.

I’ve been trading for 5 years — happy to help beginners

I’ve been involved in trading and crypto for about 5 years now, and one thing I’ve learned is that getting started can be much more confusing than it looks from the outside.

When I started, I spent a lot of time trying to understand charts, indicators, different strategies, risk management, and, probably most importantly, how to control emotions when real money is involved.

Over the years, I’ve made plenty of mistakes myself. Some were expensive lessons, but they taught me that trading isn’t about finding a strategy that wins every single trade. Risk management, patience, discipline, and having a clear plan are much more important in the long run.

I also think beginners should be careful with all the “easy money” content online. You’ll see people posting winning trades and huge returns, but rarely the losses and mistakes behind them.

So if you’re new to trading, feel free to ask me anything. I’m not going to pretend I know everything or promise guaranteed profits, but after 5 years in the space, I’m happy to share what I’ve learned and help people avoid some of the mistakes I made myself.

Feel free to ask about technical analysis, risk management, trading psychology, crypto, strategies, or just the basics. I’ll try to give an honest answer based on my experience.
