UT Dallas Minecraft

I just realized that apparently there are pre med students here at UT Dallas using Minecraft (yes the video game) to simulate the real life hospital experience and study for MCAT. What's even crazier is that this is actually working because several UT Dallas students have said that this helped improve their MCAT scores.

What is the most random thing UT Dallas is good at?

It’s so random that we’re great at audiology and speech language pathology of all things even though our university is notorious for neglecting everything that isn’t ECS or JSOM related.

UT Dallas building classes

For Computer Science students and for UTD students in general is it actually better to have classes in one building or room compared to another (like for physics labs having them in SCI 1.179 instead of SCI 1.169 or having a Rhetoric class at the Classroom Building instead of Founders North)?

Canvas outage avoided

Just realized how lucky we are that we use elearning instead of canvas this semester this would’ve been a very big logistical nightmare for the university

Making friends at UT Dallas is like trying to overtake in Monaco in f1. It’s doable but it is very difficult without a huge stroke of luck.
