I know people keep saying that UTD is not a night life oriented school and the party scene isn’t huge but… come on? There has to be something!

I am going to be so depressed if I literally get no semblance of night life and partying. Nothing crazy, just a ✨night out✨ here and there. To anyone with experience with this campus, are people over exaggerating or will I be able to find what I’m looking for outside of welcome week?

Incoming freshman for CS, recently made my schedule and I validated/registered for my classes, but I only have 11 credit hours for that schedule. I have the AES thing and apparently I need 12-15 credit hours per semester to maintain it?

I have AP credit for both Calc I and Calc II this semester though which I see count as 7 credit hours, but its not clear to me whether that counts for my major and AES requirement or just my major. Need some help on that pls 🙏

Responding to UTD's removal of the pride wall, students spent the night of July 4 adorning the SSA railing with a modified pride wall and the adjacent sidewalk with chalk illustrations.

I'm coming to UT Dallas as a freshman this fall for mechanical engineering. I'm wanting to work in motorsports for my career after college. I feel like the Dallas Formula Racing team would be amazing to work with and gain experience working on a race car! I was wondering how I could join? Is there a place at the beginning of the semester I can go sign up? Or do I have to do something else? Also I was wondering, I don't have much engineering experience, will I still be able to join freshman year and help on the engineering side even if it's just listening, learning and helping anywhere I can? Or do I have to wait to get more experience before I can join?

I was wondering how people usually went about bringing their beds and other big furniture pieces into UV for move in. Did you guys get a delivery truck or something like that or how did it work?

Tbh I lived freshman year on survival mode because of some family conflicts, along with the regular college stuff. I also spent a lot of time hanging w friends at other universities and I’ve realized I’ve neglected building a proper life here. And tbh as more time passed I’ve realized keeping strong friendships with ppl far away is very difficult and I need to branch out too. But I’m an introvert and idk where to start now as a sophomore. I’m guessing older students probably already have groups so idk what to do. Hoping I find someone else in my shoes ig 🤷‍♂️. What do yall think

I have one in phase 1 this fall if anyone also has any comments or advice living in phase 1, I heard there’s bug problems. Thanks!

I just graduated in may, gonna be starting FT job pretty soon, and as much as I complained about UTD during my 4 years here, I kinda miss it the more I think about it lol. It wasn't always the best of times, but it was something uniquely my own experience. It's as much the people you meet as the place you're at. Maybe just thinking about not being a college student anymore is tripping me up lol

How many of you are looking for careers in oil, gas, renewables, sustainability, or anything energy related. It could even just be an interest. Who are you and why?

Howdy Yall, I’m an incoming freshman at UtD also new to the Dallas area. any parks/fields where lots of people play pick up soccer? doesn’t have to be organized just playing with randoms is enough for me.

I honestly don’t think we need another Starbucks. But maybe im biased. I used to like it but now I hate it so much, the quality is so bad.

So I was thinking that some other coffee place would be better like Black Rock or something. Your thoughts?

So the first year housing got our housing assignments and roommates and I’m not sure what to do. I managed to find one roommate on Instagram but she just told me she didn’t plan on attending UTD anymore, I asked if she cancelled her housing agreement and I’ve been on delivered for a few days. The other roommate I could not find on social media so I just emailed her student email but she hasn’t responded either.

I just realized that apparently there are pre med students here at UT Dallas using Minecraft (yes the video game) to simulate the real life hospital experience and study for MCAT. What's even crazier is that this is actually working because several UT Dallas students have said that this helped improve their MCAT scores.
