Learn By Myself

I have no physics experience or knowledge, but I did AP Chem last year and got a 5 with about a month of self study, but I was in the class. This year my schools physics teacher sucks and is known for ruining GPAs, so I'm taking the honors class, but I want to take the AP Physics 1 exam to get the score. I have a pretty firm math foundation, but I have no idea how to go about learning the course and practicing (I'm not a big fan of Khan Academy), so is there is there a Jeremy Krug of teaching physics and a Michael Farabaugh for practice problems for every unit and the test?

How do I write the proof for this problem?

This is a dumb little thing I'm sure can be proved a million ways, but I wanted to figure out how to formally write a proof for 2x+3y= any number greater than or equal to 2 with a restriction of [0.infinity). It's based on basketball scoring and how any score is possible above 2. The proof is just every even number can be found by making x it's half and y as zero. Then it's that every number ending in 5 and 10 can be found by having x=y so it's multiples of 5. Then every odd number can be found by finding a 5, and adding or subtracting 2 to get any number ending in 1,3,7, or 9. Can anyone help with how to formally write this and what each step means and what other proofs are possible?
