Has anyone actually improved at Physics through visualization-based teaching? 😭

Saw this while scrolling.

The approach looked different from normal problem solving, especially for Irodov-level questions.

Curious if these methods genuinely help in Advanced prep or if nothing beats brute-force practice.

Built a JEE Physics app after 10 years of classroom teaching — not trying to sell anything, just sharing what I made

I taught JEE Physics for about 10 years — FIITJEE Chennai, then Modulus Hyderabad. Left institutional teaching to build something on my own terms.

The result is an app called Physics with Rakesh. One subject, one teacher, built carefully.

What it has:

Concept videos and MCQ practice — single correct, multiple correct, integer type

Questions split by difficulty: concept level, Mains level, Advanced level

Buoyancy concept is free, do test it to get a feel of the app.

It's not trying to compete with the big platforms. It's just Physics, done properly, by someone who's spent a long time teaching it in classrooms.

If big-platform teaching feels a bit assembly-line, this might be worth trying. The free concept is there.

Happy to answer Physics questions or anything about the app.

understanding ap questions

im taking the ap physics 1 make-up exam this friday and every time i practice i just mess up on the frqs bc im using the wrong equations? (like using a=r(alpha) instead of t=I(alpha) when asked to set up an equation for alpha) my problem isn't so much the material as it is recognizing what equations to use and when, and i was wondering if anyone had any tips

thank you in advance!!

SELF STUDY AP PHYS 1

Hey guys so at my school for some reason AP phys c's were offered but not AP physics 1, though dual physics was offered. Is it a good idea to take dual phys and self study for AP phys 1????

ap physics 1 vs ap physics c mechanics

i took ap physics 1 this year and next year i'll be taking ap physics c mechanics (as a 1 semester course). i was wondering about how similar/different they are, so like which units/topics will be the most different/hardest to learn, and which will be the most similar/easiest to learn? thanks

Is this enough for a 4 on e&m this year?

MCQ: ~ 25-30 correct. Being a bit conservative here.

FRQ 1: 5/10
FRQ 2: 8/12
FRQ 3: 8/10
FRQ 4: 6/8

My FRQ was lowkey easy but I managed to fumble by making simple mistakes across the frq and overall not being very locked in. Looking back I made silly errors that kinda snowballed.

All Physics exams over: let's do a summary of 2026

I'll start with AP Physics 1, because that's the one I took:

MCQ's: 1-1.5/10

Would be a 1, but any chance for a 40/40 is gone because I forgot how to calculate a system's rotational inertia with point masses. Finished in 30 minutes.

FRQ's: 3-3.5/10

Not hard, but relative to MCQ's, it was significantly harder.

Problems were intimidating at first (Especially FRQ 4 with the spinning toys.), but after taking 5 minutes to think it through, they were not as hard as it seems.

So far I've heard that Mech was like this as well, but Physics 2/E&M had easier FRQ's relative to MCQ's.

Any thoughts?
