What should’ve been an internal matter lead to a man’s death

Just wanted to say rest in peace.

Relentless and disproportionate bullying as a consequence of systemic flaws killed a man today, not his alleged lies.

Is St Andrews as good as its ranking?

I’ll be applying to unis next year and I just don’t know enough about it. I haven’t really heard about it before besides people complaining about its ridiculous entry standards. And because of how little I know it has given me a subconscious bias against it, especially compared to unis like LSE, Imperial, and Oxbridge, all of which are discussed much more.

On the rankings it also shows it as being the best ranked for maths (which is likely what I’ll be applying to), and so I’d just like to know what unis it is comparable to. Is it the same as the other 4 I’ve mentioned? Or does it actually live up to its ranking and is generally better than the other 4, despite how little people seem to talk about it?

Sub or dub?

I’ve just gotten out of the east blue arc so please no spoilers as they aren’t even really relevant to my question.

I generally watch sub for most anime and I’ve done the same for the east blue arc and enjoyed it, but I’ve seen things like “I want to live” online in the dub and I feel I might miss out on that type of delivery and stuff if I watch the sub (although I’ve also seen many great clips of op in the sub version).

I bet people are pretty divided on which one is better, but could you give me reasons as to why you think sub or dub is better?

Chapter 402 confusion

So when the group with Kaiser and Fugetsu go to Benjamin they explain how before Kacho died she had made letters for the princes.

My only confusion with this is that Fugetsu still thinks that Kacho is alive, so surely saying that Kacho has died in front of her should evoke some sort of shock. The explanation is probably because of her mental state and stuff atm but I feel that if she can walk on her own then she’s conscious enough to hear what Kaiser is saying right?

It’s possible I’m just talking nonsense and I may have (likely) missed something, but it just didn’t make sense to say that in front of Fugetsu to me, so could someone explain it? Thanks.

Suffer Little Children

Hello everyone. I understand the severity and importance there is to acknowledge the atrocities that Suffer Little Children depicts and condemns. My main reason in posting is to ask Reddit as I cannot find an answer online anywhere else, was the piece written before Hindley made it known that two more children were victims to their inhumane acts? As in the song only names 3 of the victims, while there is 5 in total.

I acknowledge the fact that such a deeply horrific topic such as the Moor Murders is a very sensitive one and also likely shouldn’t be mentioned much on Reddit as a whole, and honestly the answer might be obvious in that it wouldn’t make sense to not name 2 victims if they were known. But can someone give me some sort of timeline as to when it was made known that there was additional victims along with the creation of the song.

Why doesn’t everyone know nen?

During Killua’s fight with the dude in the wheelchair during heavens arena the commentator (a normal person) refers to aura. This clearly shows that ordinary people, or at least the fans (thousands of people) know of the existence of nen, so why don’t/haven’t they learnt it? It can’t be that they all know about it yet are too scared to learn it, if they’ve observed how it improves fighter’s abilities then no one would be against it. Obviously besides from people who have something directly against nen itself and therefore have no interest in learning it exist, but there’s no way that every single ordinary person is like that. There’s go to be at least a couple hundred thousand people that want to learn it. So what is it then? Is there just not enough teachers? Can the teachers themselves not be bothered to teach people they don’t deem to have enough potential? Wing only chose Gon and Killua because he was impressed/felt obligated to teach them, and so that might be the reason why some people are only chosen and not everyone. It’s an interesting question though, like if everyone knows that nen exists and they can see the awesome stuff that you can do with nen then why not learn it yourself?

Was Pokkle alive when Pitou was messing with his brain?

I get the whole reveal that pitou saw him in the pile of bones and stuff but did they kill him straight after that? If they did then how did they get him to explain the nen type test with the leaves? The fact that he was able to formulate sentences with pitou’s prodding makes me think that he was alive but he was like fully naked and stuff as if they had already killed him so idk. Is it stated anywhere that he’s dead while they’re doing that stuff with his brain? Obviously they definitely killed him after they got the info but it’s just weird to me because he was talking robotically as if he wasn’t in charge of his own thoughts while still being able to speak?

Have exams become easier?

Is it just me who feels as if I’ve done amazingly in every exam so far? I’ve done 10 out of 17 and I don’t know whether it’s due to us as a year having not done sats so the exam boards don’t know our capabilities on a national level or if it’s just that I find the exams easy because I’ve prepared enough for them. Has anyone experienced this? I’m afraid that the grade boundaries will be like 95% for a 9 if the rest of the exams are this easy lmao
