IDFC FIRST Power+ Credit Card Rejected Due to “Office Address Verification” Even After Field Visit & RNO Escalation
Applied for IDFC FIRST Power+ credit card on May 9. During application a ₹25k limit was shown and VKYC was completed successfully.
On May 11, a field executive called and asked where is my office address. I told him I am self employed and use my residential address as office address because I don’t have a physical office.
He came to my home address, didn’t ask anything, just clicked a photo of my house casually and left. I even asked him “is everything fine?” and he said yes.
Next day my application went into credit review and got stuck there with no response.
On May 15, I emailed customer care regarding the delay. Few hours later I received this SMS:
•••“Dear Customer your credit card application no. 0000000000 could not be verified. We will be holding your application for 3 more days. Please provide your complete office address with landmark…”•••
I filled the same residential address again with landmark because I am self employed and don’t have a separate office.
Later that evening I got a call from IDFC customer care. The executive said the delay was because they were unable to validate the office address. He asked whether I received the SMS to update the office address and I told him yes, I already updated it in the morning.
Then he said okay, there will be a surprise visit at the office address and he will update it from his side. I said okay fine and the call ended.
But literally 5 minutes after the call ended, I got a rejection mail saying:
•••“After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that your Credit Card Application could not be processed as the office address provided in the application could not be validated.”•••
I escalated the issue to RNO and customer care.
Then customer care replied saying the application was rejected because verification agents were unable to locate the provided office address during two separate attempts on May 9, 2026, and May 15, 2026.
But the strange thing is I never got any call or verification on May 9 or May 15. The only field agent who actually visited me came on May 11.
Also received a reply from Team RNO. They acknowledged the concern, confirmed the case was noted, and forwarded the request to the relevant team for further review.
Has anyone else faced this kind of issue with IDFC verification?
And do you think there is any chance of getting a positive response after escalation to RNO/GNO/PNO? Has anyone received approval after escalation?
