Amazon Brand Mapping Issue? ASINs Live but Attribution & Ads Acting Broken
I’m dealing with a strange Amazon product mapping issue and hoping someone here has seen this before.
I have a registered brand, two active ASINs, and both listings are live, searchable, indexed, and receiving sales/reviews normally.
The issue is specifically with Amazon Ads / Attribution / Brand Registry recognition.
Symptoms: • Products sometimes fail to appear when trying to create Attribution links
• Sponsored Brand Video campaigns barely get impressions despite relevant targeting
• Certain advertising features behave as if the ASIN is not fully connected to the brand catalog
• Seller Support and Ads Support keep bouncing me between departments saying “everything looks normal”
• One support flow showed a pending “mapping” or backend association process
Possible clue: • There was a naming inconsistency between listings where one used different capitalization/spelling formatting than the other under the same registered brand
• I’m wondering if this caused some kind of backend catalog or advertising linkage issue
Things already checked: • Brand Registry approved and active
• ASINs are live and buyable
• Listings indexed in search
• GTIN exemption/brand approval already resolved
• No suppression or stranded inventory issues
Has anyone experienced:
Attribution not recognizing valid ASINs?
Backend catalog mapping delays?
Brand formatting inconsistencies affecting ad delivery?
Sponsored Brand Video campaigns getting almost no impressions because of backend issues?
Most importantly: What escalation path actually fixes this? Seller Support keeps treating it like a normal PPC issue, but this feels more like a catalog/brand association problem behind the scenes.
Would appreciate any advice from sellers who’ve dealt with this before.
