How is SG geospatial industry today?

For context, I am considering joining this industry through the new Geospatial Intelligence course at NUS. Additionally, with the recent space summit and the set up of Singapore’s own space agency, this field seemed to receive more attention. The NUS professors have mentioned that the government needs a pool of local talent to help further this sector.

Do you think it's a good move, and is the future as bright as they say in terms of job prospects, stability, pay, and growth?

I would really appreciate any input, as I am having trouble making up my mind and the deadline is approaching.

Thank you 🙏

What should I do?

For context, I am completing my NS in about 70 days and will be matriculating this year. Two years ago, I accepted an offer for SMU IS. At the time, I chose this course for three reasons. Firstly, it aligned with my poly course. Secondly, it involved less math (my math is weak). Lastly, I kinda have an interest in business. Given those reasons, SMU IS seemed like the ideal course for me.

However, I had a slight change of mind this year and decided to apply for NTU Business and NUS Geospatial Intelligence. The reason I applied for NTU Business was straightforward as I liked business and there was less math. As for NUS, Geospatial Intelligence is a new course that caught my eye, especially with the recent news about Singapore setting up a space agency. I find the combination of tech and geography very interesting so I went ahead and applied.

Ultimately, I received offers for both. Now, I am facing a major dilemma and cannot seem to make a decision. To any seniors out there, do you have any advice or recommendations?

Really appreciate it and thank you. 🙏
