Vintage stool and chair being turned into a gothic throne with fabricoat.
My first furniture flip, I wanted my own gothic throne. Not really a furniture flip but the wall divider you see in the back I also made which was fun. For this chair I used black small bottle of fabricoat and rust oleum semi gloss black , same for the footstool. The texture is definitely not the same but that’s fine by me because the fabric on the stool and chair were tough anyways. I worked with a paintbrush and sponge- I soaked the sponge in a bit of water and then dipped in the fabricoat paint to get the first layer evenly, and then touched up spots with a brush that the sponge couldn’t get. After everything dried I tested to see if there was any transfer and there is none. I also have a cat who loves to munch on fabric and stuff so I reupholstered some fabric to the bottom of the chair so it was munch proof.
