Just bought a 2022 EQS 580 two weeks ago for $46k, and so far I’ve been really enjoying it. The range has been great, the ride is super comfortable, and it’s packed with tech.

I had a few questions for other EQS owners:

1. What recuperation mode do you usually drive in?

I find myself using Strong most of the time since it helps reduce brake usage. I also use Auto occasionally, and I like how it adjusts based on the car in front and brakes accordingly. The only downside is that when there’s no car ahead, I still need to use the brake pedal more than I’d like.

2. Has anyone installed an aftermarket dashcam?

I know the built-in dashcam exists, but it only records while driving and is front-facing only. I’m considering installing one with parking mode to capture incidents while parked. I also know the car has 360° Guard, which is supposed to capture images if a collision is detected while parked, but I’m not sure how reliable/useful it actually is. Would love to hear any real-world experiences with it.

3. Remote parking in the US?

I’ve seen Mercedes advertise the remote parking feature, but it looks like the app isn’t available in the US. Has anyone found a way to get this working here? It seems like it would be really useful for tight parking spaces.
