I bought a flight super far in advance (for December) from Icelandair from Rome -> the U.S.

Unfortunately due to a lot of big changes in my life currently and added financial burdens, I am looking to make the decision of not going to Italy anymore. I booked through booking.com and looked at my flight (I bought my tickets there and back separately) my flight says it’s non-refundable and no changes can be made to my reservation.

Is there anything I can do AT ALL to get a refund or travel credit with icelandair? Or should I call booking.com?

I’m a college student and this flight was expensive, so I’m trying to think of any possible solution. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
