do UCD students rlly have to pay for parking every day? 😭

i’m an incoming student at UC Davis and i’ll be commuting to campus since i’ll be living outside of Davis. i’ve been looking into parking and i’m kind of confused/frustrated by the fact that it seems like i have to pay for parking basically every day im on campus.

is there any kind of student/commuter parking permit, monthly pass, quarterly pass, etc. that i can purchase instead of paying the daily rate every time i come to campus?

ik there are different parking zones with cheaper rates, but if im commuting to davis several times a week, even the cheapest daily rates are going to add up pretty quickly. 😭

also, does anyone who commutes to UCD have any legit cheaper or free parking options? i’d totally be willing to park farther away and walk.

i’m mainly trying to figure out what other commuters do because paying for parking + gas every day is gonna hurt…

i’ve always admired tattoos on other ppl but i’ve never been completely sure abt getting one myself. lately i’ve ive been thinking abt it more tho and im curious to see some examples.

if anyone has a kingdom hearts tattoo or a sketch/drawinf and would be willing to post a pic, i’d love to see what designs ppl have. it can be anything from a simple/subtle tattoo to something more detailed.

thanks! :D

What are your genuinely favorite food or dessert spots in Berkeley? no influencer hype, just GOOD food.

i'm looking for food and dessert recommend in Berkeley and i want to hear from people who actually live there / know the food scene well.

i'm not necessarily looking for the most popular or instagram/tiktok famous places. i want places that are actually worth the money and live up to the hype, OR places that aren't talked about enough but are seriously good. (bonus points if they have great ambiance as well or cool decor)

i'm open to pretty much any cuisine and any type of food - restaurants, bakeries, ice cream, etc.

also feel free to mention places that ARE popular if u genuinely think they deserve the hype. i'm not tryna avoid popular places just because they're popular. i just want to know which ones are actually worth it.

Looking for unique, niche, low cost things to do in SF for a solo date — art, exhibitions, activities, etc.

i’m planning a solo date/day in San Fransisco and i’m looking for things to do that are fun, interesting, relatively inexpensive, and not SUPER touristy.

I originally wanted to go to the de Young’s Art of Manga exhibition because i LOVE exhibitions like that, but unfortunately i realized it already ended 😭 so now im tryna find other things with a similar kind of vibe — museums, temporary exhibitions, galleries, scenic nature spots, etc.

i also really wanted to go to a nice, calm jazz bar/club, but a lot of the ones i’ve found are 21+ or have pretty expensive cover charges. so if there are any chill music/arts experiences that aren’t centered around drinking, i’d love to hear about those too.

i always see recommendations for things like photobooths and the japanese tea garden, but i’m looking for more variety — exhibitions, museums, galleries, creative activities, bookstores, interesting spaces, workshops, performances, etc.

i do like hiking, but im planning a separate full hiking day, so im mainly looking for attractions/activities/things to see or do for this particular day.

i’m open to basically anything, even something random u think is genuinely worth doing.

trying to find an ethan i met on OmeTV — 19, from south london, part dominican

okay so i met this guy on OmeTV and we ended up having a really good conversation. his name was ethan, and he told me he was 18/19 i think, from south london, and part dominican. i obviously don’t know if all of that was true, but that’s what he told me..

he was genuinely really cool and i wanted to continue our conversation, but my phone died and i didn’t get his socials or any other contact before we disconnected. so there was literally no way for me to find him again.

i have no idea how likely it is that i’ll find him again, but i figured it was worth trying. so if this sounds like u, dm me w some details from our conversation so i can confirm it’s actually u.

and if yk someone who fits this description, feel free to send them this post pls!

manifesting reddit somehow pulls thru 😭🙏
