[Updated] Predicted match start times for Wimbledon Day 3 — because "not before 3pm" is never 3pm

It’s the same at every slam: the order of play says "Match 3, not before 3pm", but it can be 3pm or 4:30pm. It's never the first number. Based on a benchmark I did across 930 ATP/WTA 500, 1000 and Grand Slam matches this year, 51% started more than 1 hour late compared to the schedule estimated the day before on Google. After dropping the first match on each court, 70% are late more than 1 hour. Delays cascade: one long five-setter pushes the whole court back. I hope the predicted match start times, including likely ranges, can help you plan your match day. Pro tip, predictions are updated live after the match day kicks off.

Based on a benchmark I did across 930 ATP/WTA 500, 1000 and Grand Slam matches this year, 51% started more than 1 hour late compared to the schedule estimated the day before on Google. Therefore, I built a tool (TennisTick.AI) that predicts when each match will start with a likely range. In the image you can find part of the predictions for Monday. For example, Gauff's match looks set to drift into the early evening. It's free, no signup. Full board (all 17 courts, refines live as play happens) is in the comments. I made this — happy to answer questions and hear feedback.
