Protein bar recommendations?

I'm from the UK btw. I'm 10 weeks post op and wanting to introduce protein bars into my diet (fed up of shakes). Currently eating a grenade soft core bar, so hoping that sits alright.

My bariatric team said no nuts or seeds of any kind for 6 months post surgery so nothing peanut butter please 😊

4 weeks post surgery today!

This is my progress so far :) I'm really happy that it's a steady loss so far (bar the first week which was a big drop).

I've started the soft and crispy stage today and so far it's gone okay. I had most of a poached egg and 2 tea spoons of beans for lunch. For tea I had a bread stick, some hummus, half of a slice of ham (i found ham didnt sit well so I stopped eating it). Felt full from one breadstick. The hummus tasted incredible and that crunch from the breadstick nearly made me cry 😂

Will just have a protein shake for supper as my protein needs a kick.

So far so good! My stomach is making sooo much noise though, the gurgling is ridiculous 😂

Is this normal?

Hi, I just have a quick question as I don't want to bother my bariatric team. I had my surgery on the 11th June. So far had very little issues, one mild dumping from having a tiny bit of full fat cheese a week ago but apart from horrid fatigue I feel pretty good!

I'm struggling to get fluids in, can manage 1L daily but my team want me on 1.5 which I'm trying to get in other ways (shakes, ice pops). Water tastes funky so I have weak sf dilute orange. However I can't stand juice during the night so I have water to sip which I kinda force down.

Last night I was reading in bed and wanted a sip of water so I leaned over and had a small sip. Immediately felt like a heart burn kinda feeling and my mouth filled with saliva and I felt sick. It only lasted a few minutes but the spit was literally spilling out my mouth it was gross. Once it passed I fell asleep straight away. It was so weird. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Gained weight before surgery

I'm from England btw

I'm feeling anxious and disappointed in myself. I lost 2 stone to be put on the waiting list after 3 and a half years of appointments, workshops, dieticians, therapy, quitting smoking, going sugar free etc. I've changed so much and accepted the fact I'm a food addict and an emotional eater. I was finally put on the waiting list in March after losing 2 stone as requested. Got given my date for the 11th June. I've relaxed on the calorie counting a bit since qualifying but not gone overboard... but the weekend just gone I was away for mine and my partners 2 year anniversary. Also had a period last week, first once in 4 years due to being on the coil. I'll be honest I did eat a lot over the weekend, meals out and ice cream but we did a ton of walking so I hoped it would even things out a little.

Anyways, weight myself this morning and I've gained 12lb since my last weigh in on the 1st of May 😭 I have an appointment this Thursday with the dietician and pharmacist. I'm a huge ball of anxiety that they're gonna cancel my surgery. I'm back healthy eating today and drinking a ton of water. I know I can't shift 12lb by Thursday but I'm hoping to lessen the damage by a few pounds.

Just hoping they take my overall journey and progress into consideration and not the last little hurrah I had before having life changing surgery
