Medford Airport TSA Beware. leave extra time.
First time traveling through Medford airport. Not a ton of people but be prepared for anal TSA workers who will swab everything and make you put all your liquids across all your bags all into quart sized bag and search for liquids all throughout your luggage including your WALLET to waste your time. We’ve traveled internationally everywhere and we’re always cautious about how much liquids we have and even had most of them in a clear travel bags but just not all in one place, but we’ve never had this happened where they insisted us on taking everything out to fit inside their specific quart zip bag. There’s one TSA worker I’m assuming supervisor who has nothing better to do but to make peoples lives miserable and talk down to people and another one who does not have common sense and was searching for liquids in every crevice in our bag including in our TINY WALLET that’s half and inch thick. All of our liquids at the end fit inside the bags except for two 90% empty tiny travel bottles, which would have fit if they allowed us to fit things inside the zip bag ourselves, but they didn’t allow us to touch our bags. They were rude and also insisted we had liquids in our other luggage which we didn’t. We said we can look through it together while consolidating liquids but they then said it’s not worth their time 🤣 (then why bother putting on this shitshow?) Good luck hope everyone avoids these guys. That search itself took us quite a while. We heard from all relatives in the area the airport should have been a breeze to walk through. The line we were in was all the way to the right side with a shorter Caucasian man with dark brown hair as the “supervisor” and another Caucasian man with lighter curly hair performing the search. The supervisor is the one that talked down to us .
They even looked through my makeup bag that had a sponge blush that did not have flowing liquid but said bc it can smear, they will count it as liquid. 🙃 even international airports are not this strict. Not sure what the deal with this airport’s TSA but budget more time and avoid that line if you’re in a rush and be prepared to consolidate your liquids in their bag. I hope this is a one time occurrence and we just got unlucky.
