Looking for an Elegant & Mature Personal Stylist in Monaco

Hello everyone,

I’m looking for recommendations for a mature, elegant personal stylist or private luxury curator here in Monaco (ideally a woman in her 40s or 50s).

I’m not interested in the young trendy stylists with ripped jeans and crop tops. I’m looking for someone with real sophistication, excellent taste, good contacts in Hermès, Chanel, Dior, etc., and who can help with:

  • Wardrobe editing and organizatione
  • Personal shopping with the right sales associates
  • Creating elegant looks for Monaco life and events
  • Packing and lifestyle advice

Basically, someone discreet, experienced and with a high-end approach.

Does anyone have a personal recommendation? (Even better if it’s someone who works very privately).

Thank you so much! ❤️

Tessa

Associations & Clubs in Monaco – Where to Meet good friends?

Hello everyone,

One of the hardest things when you arrive in Monaco is finding real social circles beyond the young party scene or superficial networking.

Here’s a curated list of the most recommended clubs and associations by expats:

Top Clubs & Associations

  • Club Vivanova – Luxury networking & elegant events
  • CREM (Club of Foreign Residents of Monaco) – Very active and friendly
  • Monaco Women Network / Monaco Women Forum – Excellent for women
  • InterNations Monaco – Good monthly events
  • Club Italia Monte-Carlo – Strong Italian community
  • Centre Culturel Russe – Main Russian-speaking club
  • AMI – Association Monegasque Ibero-Américaine – Latin American & Spanish community
  • Zonta Club Monaco – Professional women + social causes
  • Rotary & Lions Club Monaco

Exclusive / High-end options:

  • Yacht Club de Monaco if you have or plan to have a boat
  • Monte-Carlo Golf Club
  • Monte-Carlo Tennis Club

Question for the community:
Which of these have you joined and actually recommend for making genuine friends (not just networking)?

Any other good ones missing from the list?

Welcome to r/MonacoExpats ❤️

Hello everyone and welcome to r/MonacoExpats ❤️

I created this subreddit as a real space for those of us living in or spending time in Monaco to talk about everything openly.

This is a place to discuss:

  • Restaurants (from the most exclusive to the hidden gems that are actually worth it)
  • Luxury shopping (Hermès game, Chanel, Dior, Goyard, best sales associates, lists, etc.)
  • Styling & fashion in Monaco – what to wear for different occasions and who to call
  • Places to go: clubs, bars, events, beaches, day trips
  • Practical stuff: boats, yachts, private jets, transfers, taxis, helicopters…
  • Real life in Monaco: making friends, moving here, banking, living with or without kids, etc.
  • Schools and workshops
  • French, Russian, English, Italian etc etc classes and teachers

No topic is off limits (as long as we keep it respectful).

Whether you’re new, thinking of moving, or have been here for years — you’re welcome.

Tell me… what brought you to Monaco?
What’s the best thing so far and what’s the hardest part?

Looking forward to building a nice community with you all.

Warm regards,
Tessa

Looking for recommendations in Monaco – making friends as a couple in our 40s + elegant personal stylist

My husband and I have recently moved to Monaco for his work in the automotive sector. We’ll be here at least until after the F1 race and we’re seriously considering staying longer.

We love the beauty and safety of Monaco, but as a couple in our late 40s with young children studying in the USA, we’re finding it a bit challenging to meet people. We’re not old, but we’re also not in the 30s party crowd anymore. Since our kids aren’t in local schools, it’s harder to connect naturally.

I would really appreciate any suggestions on:

  • Places or activities where couples in their 40s-50s can make genuine friends (clubs, events, classes, charity work, etc.)
  • Are locals and expats generally open to new friendships?

Also, I’m looking for recommendations for an elegant, mature personal stylist or personal shopper (preferably a woman in her 45s or older). I prefer classic, sophisticated style and I’m not into the young trendy look with ripped jeans and crop tops.

Age to use Hermès bags

I have a serious question. In my quest to find my dream handbag, I've been to the store several times and seen the Mini Kelly bag. At first, I thought they were ridiculous, but now I'm starting to like them.

On the other hand, I don't think a Birkin 25 would suit me as well because I find it uncomfortable to put my arm in; I don't think my wrist would fit in there.

I'm wondering if they'd look good on a 5o very something-old like me. Do you know any mature influencers whose small handbags I could look at?

New to the game and quite lost

Hi, I'm new to the Hermès game and I've read a lot here and on Purse Bop. I have to say I've done everything wrong. I've bought a lot, around €40,000 worth, at the Monaco store, but with different sales women, and different accounts, me and my husband, and now I see it's only we have to work with one.

I just want a Kelly or Birkin 30, gold-and-gold one, or a box leather bag in black.

My husband and I live in Miami and used to go to the Design District, but the salespeople there are very unfriendly.

That's why, now that we've been to Monaco and are still here for all the car events, we'd like to see if we have the bag I want. I didn't know this was a game; it's making me anxious, to be honest. We also travel to Paris a lot, and I wanted to know if they can see my Monaco purchases? Since they are different countries and finally offer me the bag...

In Mónaco finally they offered me a horrible handbag that cost 9,000 euros and more, one that looks like a dumpling, my husband almost bought it just to make me happy. And it made me want to cry. I saw the most amazing bags I ever seen in that store, metallic ones, croc etc etc, also if you can help me how can I get a metallic bag?

On the other hand, I'm so happy with my husband, who loves me so much and won't give up until he gets that bag. I'm afraid it won't happen. We went to Chanel, and he bought me a beautiful bag, a Classic Flap, and several other things, and all the staff treated us incredibly well.
