80 mg works well for me. Would 100 mg do more? If you take 100 mg please comment!

I've been taking Strattera for just under two months, half that time at 40 mg then jumped to 80 mg.

It's been a great experience, very few side effects and the little I had resolved within a short time. My thoughts seem more ordered, I feel like I can stop and think before I react, and even task initiation seems to have improved maybe 20%.

My question is do I consider the last jump to 100 mg, or do I quit while I'm ahead and just be grateful it hasn't caused me problems?

Do you take 100 mg? What differences, if any, did you experience from the higher dosage - both positive and negative?

Thank you!

Is Anyone Familiar With This New Study on a Potential Sleep Supplement, or With This Exact Strain? This Research Sounds Interesting

Just came across this study and am wondering if others are familiar with it. If there is a commercial product with this strain I'd like to learn about it.

If I Just Read This Subreddit I Would Never Take Strattera

I started 40 mg/day of Strattera maybe 6 weeks ago, then increased to 80 mg about a week ago. So far I don't feel a lot of effect, though I have noticed that I'm a little less reactive than normal, like my brain is getting a nanosecond longer to stop or change an impulsive comment before I speak it.

I've found it odd that I've had no negative side effects, so I pulled the official FDA label. According to the Phase 3 Clinical Trials data, side effects are much less frequent than I had understood. I'll list the RCT % of adults who received the drug and experienced it, followed by the % in the placebo group in parentheses behind it: fatigue 9% (4%), libido 4% (2%), somnolence 4% (3%), insomnia 15% (7%), nausea 21% (5%), cardiac palpitations 3% (1%).

Some of those numbers are significant, like insomnia and nausea, and they can all be upsetting if you're one of the people experiencing it.

Yet I think someone reading this subreddit trying to decide whether to take it could easily get the impression that Strattera is more awful than it is. Every day there's a post here that says "my doctor wrote me a prescription but I'm afraid to get started." I think that's a shame and is largely unnecessary. Having a clear-eyed view that they could face some tough side effects is one thing, but taking it to the extreme of being afraid of it could be a detriment to the health of others.

Why do you suppose Strattera gets such bad ink here? Did the drug approval process fail to catch a lot of data? Or are people who've had a bad experience just more likely to post about it?

If there's something in the subreddit resources that I overlooked, please pardon. I'm looking for a couple recommendations for battery/charger sellers. Thank you!

Messed Up Sleep Study Results

I recently did an overnight lab sleep study and I'm waiting to see the doctor for his interpretation and any treatment. In the meantime I do have a copy of his report and am wondering what it means. I started struggling with intense fatigue a few months ago and a check-up and a rack of labs found nothing wrong. Gpt is convinced my sleep architecture is broken and I think it's right.

The lab report shows the following: stage wake - 19.5%, stage N1 - 2.3%, N2 - 86.5%, N3 - 0%, REM - 11.3%. It found no apneas.

How unusual is it for someone to spend zero time in deep sleep? Is this common among insomniacs? Will it affect what he prescribes?

Thank you.

Using Strattera for Non-ADHD Medical Issues?

I'm wondering if people use Strattera to treat medical issues besides ADHD and what kind of luck they have when they do.

I have never been officially diagnosed with ADHD, but my doctor says I have strong ADHD tendencies. I take amantadine for executive dysfunction and brain fog, possibly a remnant of years-ago chemo be that never fully resolved.

The amantadine helps somewhat but I still have gaps (especially but not only task initiation). I asked my doctor about Strattera and she thinks it makes sense so we're going to discuss it at our next appointment.

Does everyone here who takes it use it strictly for ADHD? If you use it for other issues, please share.

Bromantane Dosage Mistake - Need Advice

Every weekend I combine together everything I take as a powder - NAC, aminos, sometimes Alpha-GPC, etc. - and make one little satchel for every morning, stuff I dump in water and drink to get my day going. Tonight I grabbed the wrong bottle and put as much as 300 mg Bromantane in several of them, closer to 50 mg in others, but every day has some. I did not intend to use any.

The ironic thing is that I'm not even a fan of Bromantane. I've trialed it at up to 150 mg (in oil) and it's just powder to me, I don't feel it in any way, it's inert to me. I'm not even sure why I have this bottle.

But a couple of these have a LOT, and I am not sure which satchel has the higher amounts. In other words, if I should be afraid of taking that much, I'd have to throw the whole week out. That's a not a disaster and it's not a huge cost, really just a lot of lost time.

What should I do? Toss the whole week? If I took 300 mg a couple days and smaller amounts the rest of the week, what could happen?

Thank you!

Flashlight Newbie - Need Advice on Zebralight SC65c HI

I've owned many cheap flashlights but want to buy a nice EDC for my brother and hope I can get advice from you all. He is an engineer and project manager working high-end construction jobs, office buildings and data centers, long hours, often after dark. He is also outdoors at night often, generally around farming equipment, large mowers, sometimes a campfire. He, of course, has large flashlights, but I'd like him to have one he can slip in his pocket and always have with him.

After a lot of reading and YouTube videos, I've honed in on the Zebralight SC65c HI. Is that a good choice? Is there anything better for the purposes I've described?

If I go with the SC65c, how much of a detriment is lack of a charging port? Seems to me like a bit of a hassle, but I was thinking that I'd also give him an extra battery that would make it easier, just so he change it more quickly if he's in a rush.

Where should I buy the flashlight - from Zebralight directly? Where is the best place to buy the battery and is there more than one kind?

Is there anything else I should consider?

Thank you so much. This subreddit is really great.

Huperzine A Protocol

I have a question about your Huperzine A and any feedback you get from customers about how they use it.

Some people say they use Huperzine A daily, while others say the long half-life can make daily use problematic and consider every-other-day use more appropriate. I know responses vary, but I’m curious what you tend to hear from ND customers specifically.

Huperzine A has a small but noticeable positive effect for me, and I’d like to try using it more consistently, but I’m unsure whether daily use is too much. Do you hear more success with 200 mcg daily, 200 mcg every other day, or occasional/as-needed use?

Also, do you generally think Huperzine A should be cycled? If so, is there a cycle length you’d consider more sensible, like 5 days on / 2 off, a few weeks on / one week off, or something else?

Huperzine A is the perfect example of why I appreciate ND’s commitment to quality and transparency. I think yours is the only Huperzine A product on the market that I would really trust.

Thank you.

I'm thinking about starting atomoxetine to address an executive function issue and wanted to ask whether others have experience using it for EF.

I've lived with an EF problem for several years, I think a remnant of extreme chemo brain. I'm a lawyer by training and this has been hard on my career.

I convinced my doctor to prescribe amantadine, which has provided some relief, but I'm there yet.

Do you have any insight on atomoxetine and EF? Would it be worth giving it a shot?

I'd be grateful for your thoughts. Thank you!
