Seacock issues

I’ve noted a green a patina on the engine seacock over the last few months. Im not sure what the seacock is made of, but the patina scrapes off to reveal normal coloured metal underneath. It works normally and there is a very small amount (a few mm) of play when I try to move it. I was wondering if this represents a pressing issue to be resolved?

Bad MCR feedback for IMT 3

I've just looked at my MCR and realised one of the consultants marked myself as below expectations (feedback from the others was good), particularly due to concerns that some ward juniors felt unsupported and that whilst I was completely fine clinically, I needed to be more on top of what was happening on the ward. They did mention these concerns at the beginning of the placement, and I thought I had adapted by making sure to check in with the juniors after the ward round whether they had any queries, and making sure I was present throughout the afternoon board round so I was up to date on events on the ward, and that all the juniors had my number for any queries when I was off the ward. I spent 95% my time on the ward, rarely being able to leave for self directed time or clinic. Either all this wasn't taken into account, or it wasn't enough. Perhaps I should have sat down every day and went though the junior plans individually with them, regardless of whether they asked for my input or not, but I have not observed SpRs to frequently do this when I was an SHO.

In retrospect I rather nieve to ever ask them for feedback but I actually felt that I had a good report with them.

They also mentioned I wasn't doing much spontaneous teaching - this accusation is fair, I struggle to find time to teach on the ward and prefer doing it in a formal setting were I can better order my thoughts and be prepared.

I had a few questions for you all:

  1. Is there anything I should actually being doing better apart from teaching from the above

  2. Is this likely to affect my progression? - I have written a reflection on the issue

  3. If the worst happens and my training was extended I presume this would put paid to any hopes I have of training in neurology.

IMT 3 QIP adequate?

Hi all, I do have a QIP in progress and a QIPAT done last year but it's going very slowly and I won't have a full cycle complete in time for ARCP. I haven't supervised anyone either. Is this enough for ARCP? The decision aid 2023 update just states 'engagement in QIP work' which I have done
