How to superglide

I want to learn how to superglide. I tried it in the past and could not get it to work. Now i have a wooting keyboard and set up it up in a way that the timing of jumping and crouching is correct. I tested it on the super glide tester website. So now I don’t have to worry about the timings with an above 90% accuracy.

I went into practice range thinking I would pull it of instantly but failed. What am I missing? Do I have to use the same timing as the in game mantle boost ui? And do I have to hold W key or let go of, just like the tap strafe?

Edit: I’m trying to superglide into tap strafe. I’m not sure if I’m supergliding or mantle boosting because I find it hard to tell. I do know my tap strafe isn’t working after presumably a mantle boost and not a superglide, since I hit it consistently when I’m on the ground.

Learning movement

Im pretty new to Apex and its my second split. I've reached platinum (almost Diamond) twice now. I've played it on console on release when there wasnt ranked but i played it more casual, like other Battle Royales.

I've played a lot of FPS games, so my aim is pretty decent and i think thats what carried me to this ELO. Also me understanding the game better and better, knowing better how and when to push and when to reset.

What by far my worst trait is, is my movement. When i watch my teammates and enemies they pull of crazy movement to dodge bullets and escape fights or reset. Now it happens a lot that i try to reset, get around a corner, bat up and re engage but just when i get around the corner i get killed. I feel like strafing is the most important one but correct me if im wrong. But if i run i can just slide and jump and cant do no more than that.

I've practiced it in the firing range, i can strafe, but not consistently yet. I can BHOP, walljump and superjump on a rope very consistent but when im in a fight its not in my muscle memory. I think i've never pulled any of these things of midfights or during escapes. Is there a way to get it in your muscle memory faster and make it more second nature?

I dont wanna be a movement God, but just want to pull it off when necessary. I like watching HisWattson and he doesnt do crazy movement, but occasionally when the moment calls for it he will pull it off.

Also i thought batting while bhopping was nerfed a while ago but i saw him pull it off in his latest video?
