URGENT HELP transmission fluid flush

I'm doing a transmission fluid flush on my 2004 Saab 9-5 Aero. I was able to get about 3.5-3.7 quarts out of my transmission and when I started to fill it up only about .5 quarts went in. I turned on the car and put it through the gears to let the fluid circulate and then it took some more. I did this till it was about 1.5 quarts down and now it won't take any more. I've seen videos of people just draining and filling and now mine won't take anymore and Ik it's not at the level it needs to be.

Do I need to jack the engine up?

My AC compressor has recently started going out and I'm replacing it soon. the issue I'm looking at is needing to lift up the engine when I take off the Engine bracket/Elk horn. I've wanted to paint this part as well but heard I needed to lift up the engine so it doesn't fall. any advice on if I need to or not, also if you have advice on easily replacing my AC compressor as I don't have much money and I'm only working on it myself. any and all Information would be greatly appreciated thank you.
