Think it's time we start to consider that while Sandy and Eury get all the TV hype quietly this season Max Meyer is the ACE.

To me the rotation as it stands is this...

1. Max
2. Sandy
3. Janson
4. Eury
5. Braxton [But he's only been in 2 games so he's still got sometime to improve before I will judge him after his long hiatus due to Tommy John]

The take away is Eury might be pitching his way back to AAA if he can't get it together because he's looked bad pretty much in every game but 1 or 2 this entire season so far.

Sadly Robby Snelling is probably done for until 2028 and wont be MLB ready maybe by mid that year or 2029 at this point at best. Karson Milbrandt could be a good option to bring up and see what he can contribute. But see I would have kept either Weathers or Cabrera this season considering all the question marks on the pitching and we did NOT need Caissie who has NOT lived up to his potential.

We simple did not need another Left handed hitting OF from the Cubs who had all really but given up on him. SO Far neither side on that deal can claim any major wins but we need to stop taking Cubs failed prospects expecting better results. Especially on a team that needs Pitching more than a Left handed hitting OF.

Looks like the trade is being won by the Cubs but it's early still and I would hope Caissie gets it together. BUT with Conine on the way back to me it's a no brainer once Conine is ready in the next couple of weeks and Caissie and Marsee continue to struggle. One or both those guys could find their way in AAA. As for Caissie look he's young, and talented and has hit in AAA! But this doesn't always translate well to the majors and so far we have flopped in every trade with the Cubs. "Mat Mervis" anyone? Here is an idea for GM Bendix! Stop giving away our pitching to the CUBS for failed prospects.
