Doubt

Hey everyone, I have a quick question. I just binged The Dragon Reborn, and there's one thing I'm really confused about. Regarding Thom, it keeps being mentioned that he used to have a thing with Morgase, but I can't tell if they were actually in a relationship or if Thom is just blowing smoke. I'm not sure if I missed some key details. Could someone clarify if this is legit or just Thom messing around?

I'd love an answer, but please: if this gets brought up or revealed later in the series, whether it's a joke or not, no spoilers. Just tell me to keep reading. But if it's something I already overlooked and should definitely know by the end of book three, please fill me in, because every time this guy hints that he and Morgase used to be lovers, I get completely lost

PLEASE SPOILERS FREE. Just tell me in case I missed it

I need your help

Hey everyone! I just finished The Dragon Reborn, the third book in The Wheel of Time, and I’ve got to say I really enjoyed it. I managed to follow everything perfectly, and I can feel the story finally starting to take shape, which I love.

I’m reaching out because I’d love to see some illustrations, maps, and fanart. Based on my experience with other series I’ve finished, I know better than to look things up myself when I’m not done yet, it’s just too easy to run into major spoilers regarding characters and plot points. Since many of you have already finished the whole series, I’d really appreciate it if you could share some of your favorite spoiler-free artwork or pieces that only cover events up to the end of book three. Thanks a lot! (If you want to share artwork with spoilers, it can only go up to the end of the third book)

General doubt

Well, I literally just finished The Great Hunt by Robert Jordan this morning, the second book in The Wheel of Time, as you guys obviously know, and I’ve got a ton of questions and theories to share. But first things first, I wanted to pick your brains about something.

When I read the first book, The Eye of the World, the whole experience felt kind of off. I didn’t enjoy it nearly as much as I enjoyed this second one. For me, the ending was way too abrupt and didn't quite click with the rest of the story, it felt a bit shoehorned in, honestly. I don’t know if anyone else felt the same way while reading book one.

Moving on to book two, which I wrapped up just a few hours ago, I found the plot to be way more focused on Jordan’s own worldbuilding. I didn't get those heavy Tolkien vibes this time around, which definitely happened in the first book. Without a doubt, The Great Hunt is what truly got me hooked on the series and made me finally post in this subreddit.

The thing is, when I hit the ending, I got that exact same "what the actual hell...?" feeling all over again. Out of nowhere, Rand al'Thor turns into a giant, ascends into the clouds, and starts duking it out with Ba'alzamon in plain sight of everyone. A pretty wild ending, to be honest.
So, here’s my question (please, no plot spoilers; I don’t want 100% concrete answers because I’m starting book three tomorrow):

Are all the endings going to be this wild? Is Robert Jordan just going to keep pulling stuff out of his ass whenever he feels like it?

If the answer is yes, I’m totally here for it! And if not, that’s cool too. I just want to know what to expect, because I thought the story was heading in one direction, and suddenly this guy becomes a giant and starts throwing hands with Ba'alzamon right in the middle of the sky, while down below everyone else is dealing with the Whitecloaks and the Seanchan. What a chaotic mess, seriously.

Anyway, I’ve loved this mess

Hey there!

Hey everyone!
I’m a young guy from Spain who basically just started this amazing series. I know I’m kinda late to the party for most of you, but over here in Spain, it’s super hard to find anyone else who’s read it. Honestly, to this day, I've only ever met Spanish fans online, not a single person I’ve talked to IRL has even heard of it. That’s why I decided to join Reddit. I just really need to vibe with people who get the hype and understand how this series is making me feel, even though I’m still super early into it. Plus, I'm hoping this community can help me out with the five hundred questions I already have.

Right now, I’m less than a hundred pages away from finishing The Great Hunt. I'll make a post tomorrow with my thoughts on the ending and a few questions that are probably gonna pop up!
