Is this penile specific body dysmorphia?

So my partner and I are late 20s early 30s and met online. When we started being intimate online he warned me he was small. Friends of his he introduced me to told me he was small as well (why they knew is beyond me). I didnt care. I told him he was handsome and size legitimately just doesnt matter to me. I love the person I love regardless of stuff like that. Well I always felt it was hard to tell from pictures but I told him from what I did see it looked average sized. We met in person a few times and I told him he is definitely the biggest ive ever been with after and kept telling him this. Even kept begging him to stop downing himself no matter what size it is because you shouldnt feel bad over your anatomy period. Well recently we decided to measure. He is 8 inches. But he just looked at me and looked genuinely confused. But still keeps calling himself small. Obviously body image therapy is probably the best bet here but I am so confused by this even more now. Is this more common because of pornography and unrealistic expectations on social media? Are there other men out there that feel insecure about this that have any advice on what I can do for him besides therapy? Ive asked him probably a thousand times since I've met him to please stop downing himself and it still persists.
