Niro trim 4, gen 2, HUD not visible with sunglasses

Howdy all

I wanted to ask if anyone has this issue as I have a Niro Gen 2 trim 4 which has the HUD but when I have sunglasses on I can barely see the HUD, I have tried to increase the brightness but it does make it clearer and without the glasses it is too bright.

Has anyone had this issue?

Update,

I tried the tilt head trick and yes my sunglasses are polarising so I tried changing the angle of the HUD but it didnt work. I had a rummage of all my old sunglasses and found a wraparound that works perfectly.

Thanks for all your help.

Eon next optimise

Howdy all,

I wanted to check how many of you are with Eon Next with their Optimise tariff, how are you finding it, also how similar is it to the octopus agile system?

Givenergy replacement system cost.

Howdy everyone,

I wanted to check if anyone has replaced their Givenergy system to another organisation, i was wondering as all the wiring is already in place but it would be an inverter and battery replacement.

Or if your inverter fails would you still stay on the same system and replace the inverter if possible.

Inverter active cooling advice

Howdy all.

I was wondering if anyone has added some fans to blow air over the heat sinks of their inverter during the summer heat waves.

I was thinking of using two pc case fans connected to the mains and have blow air over the heat sinks.

Does anyone have anything like this?

Edit

My system is in an external concrete garage at end of garden which is uninsulated. There is only trickle vents on one window, I have kept the window ajar but locked in place.

The inverter reaches temps of 54c around 2pm

4th major service and gear reduction oil change at 40k

Hi everyone,

I just purchased my kia niro ev gen 2 last month from.a main dealership. Prevous owner used car as family vehicle.

The 4th service is a major and instead of going back to dealership i thought og going to an independent specialist.

They stated a gear reduction oil change is not needed until 50k. Should I take the hit now or leave it for the next few years? As I know the gear reduction oil has been a pain on previous gen cars.

Edit: its a 4th service and so it is a major,

I think as the previous owner had a service plan they actioned every year. I think when the dealer was selling the car they tried to get me into a yearly service plan and thats what got me.

Im just thinking should I get it sorted for peace of mind and then leave for two years.

Howdy all,

My cabin heating and cooling is temperamental at best, once it was chucking out the heat within a minute.

When I purchased my car on the paperwork I found out it was the HP version bust I didn't physically check for the unit in the front bay.

Is there any recommendations for getting used to the settings. Do I have to back to the dealership to get it checked and fixed?
