Are tool franchises worth it?
I recently lost my job. While I'm looking into job opportunities within mine and similar industries, I'm also looking into the possibility of changing Industries and career paths. I've always had an interest in the tool industry, and the industries they serve, so I recently started looking into Snap-on and Matco tool franchises, but I'm not sure if it's the right opportunity for me, or if it's even something that's feasible for me to start up. I know the companies themselves glorify these opportunities, so I was hoping to get some insight from people who have actually had these franchises, or know somebody who has.
Are these franchises actually worth it, especially if I'm financing the majority, or as much as possible for the startup? What are the actual days like? I know I would expect to work longer hours than at a typical job, but how long are the days actually?
Any other Insight would be more than appreciated.
