Signs of being Gravid?

Adopted a three year old leachie about 10 days ago. She’s been eating well, moving through enclosure at night, humidity and temp is consistent in the 75/80% down to 50 to dry out, and ambient average around 75.

The last two days she hasn’t been taking her CGD (putting her on insects next week, but wanted her to have time to acclimate since she’s in a larger enclosure now)

I also noticed she dug a little in the corner of her tank earlier this week. Hasn’t been bred so any eggs would be Partho, but what’s the best way to monitor her potentially being gravid + pre and post care?

Going to try a new diet incase she is just getting picky, but going from eating her whole dish every other night to two days of little / no food makes me think she might lay soon.

Thanks!

Feeding off ground Q

Picked up 3 y old leachie yesterday. Shop said she only ate from her food dish off the ground, as opposed to mounted. Am I good to leave it on the ground in her permanent home? Both her old and new set up are bioactive, but I don’t want her getting a ton of dirt or isopods etc in her food.

She ate off the ground (in the cup obviously) in her temp cage the last few days while I was setting up her enclosure. But as I move her into the permanent home I want to know if I should train her to use the mounted cups or just keep it in the corner.

Thanks!

Temporary enclosure question

Hi all,

Picking up my first leachie and her enclosure from a local reptile store Friday. She is currently 6-8 inches nose to tail and the enclosure is 18x18x36.

It is fairly sparse (but bioactive) and I want to add way more perches, natural scape on sides and back of glass, etc.

In the past I’ve used aquatic silicone / foam to secure hard scape. But would need to temp house her for 24-48 hours. I am less trusting of magnets or glue which may be a more immediate build option.

If I need to house her temporarily in a makeshift enclosure, what is the best way to do it without undue stress or harm? I can pick up an 18x18x24 since I’m doing that for a new Crestie later, but are there other options that would work while the silicone cures? Any help appreciated!
