Going to college later in life and would like advice on preparation

I’m going to college for the first time at 26 in the fall. I will be starting out with three courses, Biology 1002, Com-1010 and College Algebra. I’ve already started studying to refresh myself before algebra, but would love advice on what things I should refresh myself on from others who have been out of school for a while and went back. I’d love to be over prepared starting out, so anything I could study over summer so I’m prepared would be great.

Seeking advice on picking a laptop (blinded by choice)

Ok so I’m going to college for the first time in the fall but at an older age then average (26) and have been ironing out a lot of the things I will need and need to do. I don’t currently have a laptop, I have a desktop PC. I’m aware I will need a laptop or tablet of some sort and am hoping for advice based on experience. Researching myself I have found so many options that I feel overwhelmed. I had a iPad with a pencil and keyboard attachment when I went to cosmetology school years ago and loved it for note taking, but I’m thinking the capability’s of a tablet might be limited? I would love if there’s something out there that can do both that and what a standard laptop is capable of. Also for added context, I’m a marine biology major. Thank you 🙏🏻

My cat keeps throwing up

So my cat how been throwing up every once in a while for some time now. (Warning gross) she always throws up mostly undigested food. I swapped her food from a dry food to a wet food, that didn’t help. (I’ve tried both grain free and grain options) Then I swapped to a different dry food but for sensitive stomachs. I felt like that one was fine for a bit but its started happening again. So then I thought maybe it isn’t the food and she’s eating too fast. I’ve tried both posture bowls and two different slow feeder bowls. The second slow feeder bowl I got because I thought maybe the grooves were too big in the first and wasn’t slowing her down enough. Now it’s been a few days and she’s thrown up again. I’m at a loss. I know at this point I need to take her to the vet, but was wondering if anyone has advice? Should I try phasing out her food to a new food again?

Has anyone else had acne from iron infusions?

So I had three iron infusions (3 weeks in a row) to tackle my anemia. I didn’t have many symptoms from the treatments other then being tired the next day or two after getting them. But I’m noticing my skin has been horrible. I’ve always had acne but the past two years it’s cleared up and the past few months it’s been so clear. Now my face is breaking out like crazy. The only change I can pinpoint is the iron infusions. Should this clear up now that I won’t be getting any more of them? Has anyone else experienced this?

▲ 1 r/tax

So I’ve been a hairdresser for 6 years but this is my first year switching to 1099 independent contractor as a hairdresser, before I have always been a W2 receiving employee. My salon manager wanted me to finally switch to this way so I did. He told me I should set up quarterly tax payments, but I clearly didn’t understand he meant I HAVE to set them up. And I also didn’t realise the first one would be due on tax day this year. I filed my regular taxes for 2025 and when I looked into the tax payments I realized that it was due. The problem is that I have no clue how to estimate it or set it up and I’ve spent hours looking into it and simply, I’m not smart enough to do it myself. I made an H&R Block appointment for tomorrow, I didn’t know where to go because I’ve always just don’t my simple taxes myself. So I know I am going to have to pay late fees or something, but idk how much and I’m hoping H&R Block can help me tomorrow because I feel so lost. Is this something they should be able to help me with? And am I totally screwed for not setting it up sooner?
