I’m a 26F and have been talking to a 28M for about three weeks through an arranged marriage setup. The problem is that whenever I ask him something, his answers tend to be very vague or generic. We’ve met once in person, but neither of us really opened up, so the conversation felt a bit awkward.

I’m also starting to feel like he’s simply telling me what he thinks I want to hear rather than sharing what he actually thinks.

How do I get past the surface-level conversations and have a more honest, meaningful discussion with him? Are there any questions or ways of approaching the conversation that can help me understand his actual personality, opinions, and expectations?
