Hi, plan to take a solo trip to Oahu!

This will be my second solo trip & had questions regarding LaniKai beach. Ik some say the distance from Kailua Beach Park and Lanikai is less than 15 mins but Google says 20, and leads me down walking some busy roads. How do you get from Lanikai to Kaliua & vice versa?

I plan on taking the bus from Waikiki to LaniKai, but should I take uber/ taxi instead?
