After looking through a lot of comments and seeing how interactions are going there has been some small changes made which will hopefully help the community run more smoothly and safely for all.

On donations, if you are using a wishlist it must be Amazon unless otherwise discussed in modmail with the mods and approved. This will help keep our donors’ information best protected and give those making the request the best chance at having their needs met.

Fundraising sites are going to be left to up to the mods to decide if they feel it is a secure one or not. Ones such as GoFundMe will be allowed others will be decided case by case.

A few friendly reminds.

• Many posts are being removed because you are not providing us with proof us hardship in your post or below it. Please remember this is a requirement when you are explaining your situation.

• Minors are not allowed to make requests or any kind of donations. They may only use this subreddit for advice.

• Any requests with bitcoin will be removed.

I’m seeing many agreeing and wanting us to add an actual karma number requirement. I agree with you. We will be adding a karma requirement of 20. This will go into place immediately with all new posts.

More post flair options have been added as well. If there is any additional ones you feel would be useful I am more than happy to add them too.

Hi everyone,

After reviewing things and engaging more with the community we have decided add some new rules and update some of the existing ones.

• We do not under any circumstances allow for someone who is under the age of 18 to post for requests. This is to protect everyone. No adult should be sending things to a child for any reason when they do not know them.

• There is now a rule in place that you may not post for requests if you have negative karma. Donors, if you feel this is not strict enough please give us feedback.

• We put in an official rule about not sending unsolicited messages to anyone in the community and making sure you are using mod mail to communicate with us unless you are directed to do otherwise.

• Proof of hardship/situation. Those who are making a request now must be able to proof their situation and this must be done on the post or directly below for everyone to see.

• We will also be vetting people more close who are making requests. Any deleted history of requests will result in the removal of their posts.

• Active accounts. People who are making accounts must now also have active accounts. You have been active at least in the last thirty days in order to make a request for assistance.
