It was a low-poly, ENA inspired web animated series where the protagonist explores the afterlife.
Some notable things include:
The first character the protag meets tricking them into being trapped in a white void room.
The protagonist going "Jesus Christ" when surprised, only for a character to go "Nope, not him".
A painter whose paintings you can enter, they died pretty young.
Death now controls the weather (Or something like that) as taking people's lives saddened him.
Jesus has entered the living world many times, but nobody recognizes them as they change their identity every time they reincarnate to keep things a secret. Her current form is a woman who I think works as a bartender in the afterlife.
The series had themes about change, and how the little things you do to help others can mean a lot. It's on YouTube and Newgrounds.

I keep hearing it, yet I still have no idea what it is...
What if Brusha is trying to stay distant from Tisha in an attempt to break free from how she's wired to act, thinking that acting different than how she's mentally "Forced" to will bring her free will? This upset Tisha, making her despise Brusha.
However, since they're biologically wired to have a strong bond with each other, they keep trying to reconnect (Albeit with fail).
Speculation Time: Despite Brusha's assumptions, the way toons are wired is who they are. For example: Sprout legitimately does care about others because he's wired to do so (It's not pretending if he legitimately feels that way). And while their personalities can shift from the show over time (Big examples being as Dandy & Squirm), forcing it onto oneself or others would be mentally harmful.
I'd like to believe Brusha has much more stress that she lets on, as she's pretty much giving herself some sort of personality conversion therapy. Perhaps she even twisted due to the mental drain of trying to be something she's not.
