What lure are you throwing now that temps are changing a bit

So I’m talking bass specifically. I saw a video of someone saying they are only throwing soft plastics in August. I thought I read somewhere that frog lures are starting to kick off and that seems total opposite end of the spectrum to me.

What are the seasoned bass fisher people here going to be throwing this month?

How much does weapon level affect matches?

I’m invading at RL120 and my max weapon is +20

I get matches pretty regularly so I’m wondering what the benefit would be going to max level on weapons?

I notice everyone online seems to do it and the Elden wiki says I should be max weapon level but I want to know what this would affect. Would I get matches with a different group of players who have max level or am I just giving myself a disadvantage because I’m fighting these players anyway and I’m doing less damage due to my weapons only being +20?

I’m actually getting a better W/L ration now than I was at RL60 so I’m wondering if I should upgrade or leave it as is

Question about bass spawning behaviour

So I started fishing in late summer last year, went pretty consistently where there are bass and never caught a single one. The season ends so I give up until spring this year. Started going again two months ago, no bites on top water or bottom. Kept trying but noticed the bite is literally not there most likely due to cold water temps.

Now I’m noticing there are bass along the shallows, but they aren’t biting. They are IN spawn. Just chasing lures and fish away, not biting anything. So I google their behaviour and supposedly they were biting like crazy before this point for “prespawn” but now they don’t bite during actual spawn.

This bugs me because I’ve literally been fishing through their entire supposed “prespawn” and caught nothing. Every time I google why the fish aren’t biting there’s always another excuse.

My question is am I the victim of the worlds biggest most elaborate inside joke? There’s no bass is there? It’s just bluegill and pike isn’t it?
