I just realised that the Wither Skeletons and the Drowned are foils of one another.

The Drowned are zombies that lives in the wet and liquid Ocean, while the Wither Skeletons are skeletons that lives in the fiery and very solid Nether Fortress. Furthermore, both are opposites of the usual archetypes of their "species". All zombies in Minecraft are melee-based mobs, except for the Drowned, which can spawn with a Trident in hand to gain a ranged attack. By contrast, all skeletons are range-based mobs that use bows to attack players, except for the Wither Skeleton, which uses a stone sword to attack the player in close combat.

"Moving" Structures

Okay, so, I do not know if this is possible to code, but I have this idea for structures that gives the illusion that they are "moving". Basically, I want structures that can appear and disappear in intervals.

Say for example, that there is a new structure called a Carraige, and it is classified as a "Moving" structure. It does not literally move, but, when no player is near it (let’s say, when no one is within render distance of the Carraige), it has a chance to disappear, and when a player goes back to the spot where the Carraige was located, they would find nothing. If no player is near the disappeared Carraige, the Carraige has a chance to appear back in the spot (unless it would appear floating in the air, then it will only appear once there is solid ground again). Other than Carraiges, this can also apply to other possible structures, like Ships, Wagons, Hot Air Balloons, etc.

Again, I do not know it this is even possible to code, but what do you guys think?

New Defensive Tool - The Staff of Defense

The Staff of Defense is a new, defensive tool that can only be crafted. To craft a Staff of Defense, you need two Sticks and a new item called a Defensive Core.

Defensive Cores can only be obtained from Ominous Vaults in Trial Chambers, but they are really rare, meaning you need a bit of luck to get them.

If you have the Staff of Defense in your main hand, you can press the Use button to project a magical shield in front of you. The magical shield is 3 blocks wide and 2 blocks tall, and it follows you wherever you face.

The magical shield acts similar to the shield, save for a few differences:

  1. The magical shield is significantly tougher than the regular Shield.

  2. The magical shield can fully block Arrows from Crossbows with the Piercing Enchantment and the laser beams of Guardians and Elder Guardians

And 3. Any melee attack of any kind will disable the magical shield.

Basically, the Staff of Defense and its magical shield is primarily used to defend against ranged enemies, but any melee enemy that gets close enough can possibly ruin your day.

Additionally, Staff of Defenses have a built-in passive effect that is essentially weaker version of Mending (this effect can stack woth the actual Mending Enchantment), since that's the only way to repair it other than putting two Staff of Defences in an Anvil.

There are also 3 new Enchantments for the Staff of Defense:

  1. Deflecter - This Enchantment gives the magical shield the ability to fire a damaging orb whenever it blocks a ranged projectile. When the magical shield fires an orb, there is a long cooldown before it can fire an orb again. The cooldown shortens for every level of the Enchantment.

  2. Widened - This Enchantment simply widens the magical shield, the amount of how much it widens increasing for every level of the Enchantment.

  3. Boundaries - This Enchantment gives the magical shield the ability to knock back any mob close to the player everytime it is disabled, with the strength of the knockback increasing for every level of the Enchantment.

I think the only factions this quote doesn't apply to is Chaos Daemons (and therefore, the Chaos Gods) and Tyranids, although I think there can be some arguments on how this quote can still apply to them, I just don't know what those arguments are.

For context, the Umbraneth are basicaly the direct counterparts of the Dark Elves/Druchii from Fantasy and the Dark Eldar/Drukhari from 40k. They were teased since 1st Edition as Malerion/Malekith's Shadow Elves, and we got their name, Umvraneth, in 2nd Edition, though not much has been heard since, I think (I don't actively look out for rumors or leaks, so I wouldn't really know).

Here with another Arthropod mob I've made.

Pill Bugs are grey-black colored mobs that spawn in Forests and in Caves. They are Passive mobs that will tuen into a ball and roll away when attacked. However, they can inadvertantly damage other mobs if they hit them while they are rolling away.

Pill Bugs, regardless of variang, can drop two items.

The first item is called Pill Bug Meat. Pill Bug Meat is a food item that can be eaten and cooked. However, you can also use it to feed Spiders and Cave Spiders. Doing so will turn the Spider or Cave Spider Neutral towards you.

The second item is called Pill Chitin. Pill Chitin can be used to craft a new set of armor called Pill Armor, which, just like leather armor, can be dyed, similar to Leather Armor. If a Player is wearing a full set of Pill Armor, double tapping the Shift button will make them go into Ball Mode, turning into a ball (well, cuboid in this case, but you get the idea) like a Pill Bug.

While in Ball Mode Players are automatically in Third-Person View and have Auto-Jump on. They can move forwards and backwards like normal, but pushing the Strafe buttons will instead make the Players pivot. They also don't have access to any of the items in their inventory.

Players gain increased movement speed when they move, which gradually builds up to an increased movement speed of up to 15 blocks per second, faster than even the fastest horse. However, if a Player stops moving for any reason, they will gain a debuff that essentially stuns them for a few, short seconds.

Players can also deal damage to mobs while in Ball Mode by rolling towards them, with the damage dealt increasing based on the movement speed of the Player when they collide with the mob hit. However, hitting a mob while rolling will immediately stop a Player from moving.

Finally, Players are also completley immune to most damage types while in Ball Mode. The only damage types they are not immune to are Drowning damage, Fire damage, Lava damage, Magic damage (i.e. from effects like Poison, Harming, etc), Freezing damage, Sonic Boom damage (i.e. the Warden's scream attack), and Dragon's Breath damage. Pill Armor still loses durability, however, and if even a single piece of Pill Armor is destroyed, the Player will be forced out of Ball Mode.

Outside of Ball Mode, Pill Armor is between Iron and Gold when it comes to toughness, and has greater durability than Iron Armor. They can also be enchanted like normal armor.

Zombies can spawn wearing a full set of Pill Armor, and they gain the ability to go into Ball Mode. However, Zombies are much slower and have less control of their movement than Players that are in Ball Mode, and they deal damage to any mob they hit, including their own allies. Additionally, their Pill Armor also spawn with medium-to-low durability, and are thus much more easier to be destroyed by Players.

Piglins can also spawn wearing a full set of Pill Armor, although theirs are fully dyed with white. They are faster and have more control compared to Zombies, but still not as much as that of Players. (And yes, this is a reference to Minecraft Legends).

I've been experimenting with ideas for other Village Protector mobs again, and I wanted to share with you my own idea for a Gold Golem.

Gold Golems are small golems, similar in size to the Copper Golem. They even have similar build recipe, placing a Carced Pumpkin on a Block of Copper, or, in the Gold Golem's case, a Block of Gold.

However, while the Copper Golem is more humanoid looking, the Gold Golem consists of one relatively large head and tiny arms and legs. Think M.O.D.O.K. from the Marvel Comics, except way smaller, have a Villager's nose, and use their arms and legs to move around.

Compared to the Iron Golem, Gold Golems have small amounts of health (15 Hearts), though they can be repaired using Gold Ingots, similar to how Iron Golems can be repaired using Iron Ingot.

Their small size and small health is a tradeoff, however, for Gold Golems attack by producing a burst of magical light in a fairly large radius. This magical light deals a moderate amount of damage to any Hostile Mob and Hostile Player that it hits, not enough to one shot them, but just enough to make the work of Iron Golems a little bit easier. Its real power, though, is that it can blind and stun Hostile Mobs and Hostile Players that was looking towards the Gold Golem when they got hit by the ability. The light ability is near instant, meaning that it takes skill to look away just before a Gold Golem attacks. Their ability can also burn Undead mobs as if they touched the light of the sun itself.

Gold Golems can spawn naturally in Villages, and while they spawn much rarer than Iron Golems, they can spawn in groups of 2-3 due their relatively cheap cost. They drop, what else, Gold Ingots upon death.

It is in my opinion that we need more Arthropods in this game, so I made an idea for a Dragonfly mob.

Like Frogs, Dragonflies have multiple stages in life, based on the real life cycle of Dragonflies.

The first phase is the Egg Phase, which is similar to Frog Eggs, i. That Dragonfly Eggs are placed in water and will hatch after a few minutes.

The second phase is the Nymph Phase, which starts when a Dragonfly Egg hatches, spawning a Dragonfly Nymph, which is waterbound and initially Hostile to all mobs, including other Dragonflies, Dragonfly Nymphs, and Players. However, if a Player feeds a Dragonfly Nymph enough meat items and/or Magma Cream, it will become Neutral to the Player that fed it. After killing enough mobs or being fed enought meat/Magma Cream, Dragonfly Nymphs will walk into land and start molting in preparation to enter the third phase.

The third and final phase is the Adult Phase, which starts when a Dragonfly Nymph finished molting, finally becoming a Dragonfly. Dragonflies are Hostile to all mobs, however, if a Neutral Dragonfly Nymph finishes its molting, it will become tamed to the Plauer that turned it Neutral (i.e. the Player that fed it the most meat and/or Magma Cream. Tamed Dragonflies act like Tamed Wolves, i.e. you can command them to stand still or to follow you, they'll attack any mob you attack, etc.

Dragonflies mainly attack by charging at their targets at high speeds, and if their charge connects to a target that is small enough, they will grab it, hover above the ground, and deal continous damage to their grabbed victim. Once a Dragonfly is grabbing a mob, other Dragonflies will not attack the grabbed mob, and if a grabbed mob manages to become free, other Dragonflies will not attack them for a few seconds.

Players and Player-sized mobs can be grabbed by Dragonflies, but if they are fully covered with armor (no matter what type), they will not be grabbed but will be dealt with one instance of damage instead. If a Player is grabbed by a Dragknflt, the only way to escape their grip is if the Players kills the Dragonfly first.

Their is also a rare variant of Dragonflies called Red Dragonflies, which are differentiated by their red patterns. Red Dragonflies have the special ability to breathe fire, using it to deal damage to their targets before swiping in for the kill once they reac low health.

Regardless if they're Red or not, Dragonflies deal extra damage to mobs that can fly.

What do you guys think?

Edit: Made a few changes based on u/PetrifiedBloom's comment.

Dragonfly Nymphs are no longer Hostile to all mobs, including other members of their species. Now, Dragonfly Nymphs are Hostile to Players, Pigs, Chickens, Axolotls, Rabbits, Zombies, every Aquatic mob, and every Baby version of other mobs. Additionally, I forgot to add this when I first posted it, but Dragonfly Nymphs hunt differently based on the what mob they are hunting. If they sense aquatic prey mobs, they will simply swim to them and grab them, dealing continous damage, similar to their adult veraions. When they sense land-based mobs, they will wait near the blocks that are touching the water and are on the surface, becoming functionally invisible to all mobs except the Players. When a land-based mob gets close enough to the water, the Dragon Nymphs will attack and grab their prey, also similar to their adult versions.

Speaking off, there is a change in the way Dragonfly Nymphs and Dragonflies kill their targets. Once they grab a target, they will move as far away as possible from other hostile mobs, though they will continue to attack grabbed prey while moving.

Adult Dragonflies are no longer Hostile to all mobs. They are now Hostile to all the mobs that the Dragonfly Nymphs are Hostile to.

Finally, Dragonflies primarily spawn in Swamps, rarely being seen outside of the Biome.
