Is the QC touch screen supposed to be so unresponsive?

Just got my Quad Cortex Mini in the mail. Eager to try it out, I plug it in and start doing the login and firmware update stuff. Immediately, I can tell that ALOT of the time, this touch screen is very unresponsive. I press and nothing happens, press again, it responds, or not.. It is not specifically on one part of the screen, it is all over and completely random but I feel like maybe 20% of all inputs I do with my finger are not registered. A really bad first impression when you buy such an expensive premium digital product in 2026. There are touch screens from 1999 that are more responsive than this.

Did I just receive a defect product or is it just how the device is? Any other experiences on this? The fact that it is completely random and can happen anywhere on the screen kind of makes me think that this is just how it is, maybe because its sturdy built for the stage etc and that is one of the compromises one must accept? If so I´m seriously considering returning it. I will use this screen alot and dont really want to spend the next 10 years being frustrated about inputs not being registered this often.

Hello all

Im a synthwave / darksynth artist that is looking for a comic artist to work with for the artwork of my singles. The project is 1 year old and I have a release schedule that I try to stick to, releasing a single every 5-8 weeks. Im in need of artwork for these singles. Doesnt have to be super complicated but must look professional. I will provide very clear instructions and sketches of what they should look like, so your time will mostly be spent actually just drawing from these instructions and applying your style to it.

The project has a dark sci-fi vibe and narrative, revolving around one pilots journey into a collapsing cosmos. The music is instrumental but does tell a story. Which these single artworks should also reinforce.

Id like a recognizable style so that the catalogue looks cohesive, therefore it would be optimal to work with the same person, but we could do one or two first to see how it goes.

The project has as of now around 35k monthly listeners on Spotify and growing. For my first album that released a few months ago I hired a Marvel/DC illustrator for the cover, though naturally I dont have the budget to do that for a single every month.

If this sounds like it might be your thing, send me a DM with price and portfolio and Ill check it out and get back to you if I find it interesting.

Thank you!
