My Music Cup Ranking of the Oingo Boingo songs :)

Saw some people doing this over on the Glass Animals reddit, and wanted to do it for the Oingo Boingo songs as well. Some of these choices were tough haha.

Private Life won in the end though. I love that song so much and I find it very relatable :)

Here's my one :)

Cannot believe I had to choose between Agnes and Pools on the first round. Agnes would've gotten so much farther were it not for my love of Pools.

EDIT: Huh. Seems like some people don't like Pools lmao. I'm honestly not surprised, I just have a lot of nostalgic feelings for it.

How should I refer to the US in my pepeha/mihimihi?

Kia ora from Aotearoa!
I'm currently writing up my pepeha/mihimihi - which is a common way of more formally introducing yourself than just saying "hello, my name is..." in Te Reo Māori (the Māori language) - for a university assignment. While I am Māori, I was born in California, specifically a town called Paradise, and my maternal family are also all from the US, so I want to acknowledge this in my pepeha/mihimihi. Given my own heritage, I felt like it would be good to try and refer to where I was born by the name it's native people would've called it. After some quick research, I learnt that some Māori in the US have called it Motu Honu (meaning "Turtle Island"), but since this isn't a name that was used by every tribe, I wondered if someone here might know what the native people of the area I was born in would've called the landmass they lived on and what it translates to in English so I can then translate it into Te Reo Māori for my pepeha/mihimihi. Any help on this would be appreciated and I hope this isn't too specific of an ask.
