Does this stamp mean anything big?

I got a vinyl copy of Only a Lad as a gift from a friend but it has this gold stamp that reads “demonstration not for sale” I don’t plan on selling it, as again it was a gift, I just want to know if it’s an even cooler gift than both of us even knew. All the photos online I’ve seen of this album don’t have this stamp and I can’t find anything concrete online about what its original purpose was.

drew an oingo boingo album for my choir folder :]

lowk not as detailed as the actual album, but i mostly freehanded this from looking at the album on my phone. i think its pretty decent despite it not being the most accurate thing in the world :)

that, and im js severely fixated to their music so i will use ANY musical excuse to bring up the albums whenever i can LMAO

Just picked up this beauty off of ebay

It sounds great. I just started collecting vinyl so when I found out the original pressing was missing some of my favorite tracks I knew it was worth it to splurge on the full version.

My Music Cup Ranking of the Oingo Boingo songs :)

Saw some people doing this over on the Glass Animals reddit, and wanted to do it for the Oingo Boingo songs as well. Some of these choices were tough haha.

Private Life won in the end though. I love that song so much and I find it very relatable :)

Didgeridoo on Nasty Habits intro on Farewell

I recently found a copy of Farewell on DVD recently and while watching it today, I noticed that the "fourth" member of horn section, George McMullen, who stood well to the right of the regular horn section and who was rarely on screen, played a didgeridoo during the intro of Nasty Habits on the first song of the encore. You can see him holding it when John Avila comes on stage and just get a glimpse of it.

Once I saw it, I could clearly hear it as the drone sound under Danny singing "tell me your secrets." I had always thought it was a synth. He later switches back to trombone.

According to his website, he is "a Grammy awarded veteran trombonist and recording artist on Trombone, Bass Trombone, Flute and Didjeridoo." (https://georgemcmullen.com/index.html)

I've been listening to this album for 30 years, and just learned something new.

McMullin with his didgeridoo

Just over Danny's right shoulder and above his head you can see the didgeridoo.
